These are indispensable for a cat who misses the box every so often. They've never soaked through. The absorbent material won't shift around in the pad. The edges of the pad's seal keeps the wetness within the absorbent area of the pad and stops any leakage that would have happened around the sides. These pads are flat and the absorbent material is "quilted" (in the same way that paper towels or toilet paper is "quilted"). The pads are rugged enough to take foot traffic, even with the litter box filler acting as an abrasive. These pads have been a lifesaver for cleanup from the cat's missing of the litter box. I've gone through more than 150 of them and know I'll go through 150 more. I might not be happy with my cat's litter box habits, but I'm extremely satisfied with these pads and highly recommend them for 'accidents'.

Overall great BUT i think the edges should be absorbent as well. They changed the edge to non absorbent
and urine can go to the edges and is not absorbed. Keep the mop handy...!
It is excellent in attracting the animals over to it as my dogs are older and never used these but will now.
Comes in handy if you are not able to walk them for whatever reason. Cheryl
