Cas: When I unpacked the batteries, I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference between them and regular AAs if I didn't know these were rechargeable. They work with various LED light strings and I've had a clock going on one for over a month now. They definitely get better after two or three charges and discharges. Some appliances will use them faster than others, but at least with these, they're easy to recharge, cheaper than constantly buying new batteries, and less wasteful at that.

Thomas Pryor: I purchased this charger and batteries because I was really tired of spending $5.00 for AA batteries for my digital camera, which I use almost everyday. Since purchasing this charger and battery kit, I've been able to eliminate the cost of expensive disposable AA batteries and always have charged batteries every time that I need to do a recording. We opted to purchase the recharger and batteries which provide 2800mAh as opposed to lesser output batteries because we'd realized that when we were using cheaper disposable AA batteries, we'd get very inconsistent performance and all sorts of low battery indicator warnings on the camera. So, if you're intending to power something like a camera or other device, it certainly pays to ensure that you have higher output batteries, as the lower output rechargables may only be suited for things like TV remotes, etc.
Anyway, the recharger works as advertised and also has 2 USB ports on the device which enables you to also recharge your phone or tablet while you're charging your batteries (no extra outlet required). The first time that I charged the batteries, I believe it took roughly 4 hours to take them from empty to completely charged,...

PimpHandstrong: Most the negative reviews I’ve read are from people saying they put a freshly charged pair in their “____” (whatever device they were using) and a low battery warning appeared, this usually isn’t because of a low battery but because you hadn’t done your research on how alkaline vs ni-mh vs all the other types of rechargeable batteries work and the variations of voltage/etc they put out. Alkaline typically put out slightly higher if a voltage than ni-mh. We’ll surprise but your device was built and designed with “average use/user” in mind. who typically run their electronics with disposable alkalines. Well, guess what? your devices “low battery” warning appears NOT BECAUSE YOUR BATTERY IS DEAD BUT BECAUSE THESE PUT OUT SLIGHTLY LOWER VOLTAGE even when brand new and at optimal performance. But they will still power your device as normal. So even at a full charge, more sensitive electronics (most items that would have a “low battery” warning) will have a “low battery” warning appear because as alkaline batteries wear out and lose charge the voltage drops over time and that is what triggers a “low battery” warning, but your device still works as normal...
