William A: 3.5” on straight sides. 5” from home plate to second base (looking at it like a baseball field). I need 5” on side, so I will try the ones marked 7 inches.

Fit 4 porpoise: Purchased to facilitate easy moving of heavy King-sized sleigh bed, which has 5.5" x 5.5" (140mm x140mm) 'L' profile feet. It might be useful for prospective buyers of this item to know that the 5" (127mm) specification is at the sliders widest point, which is from the apex of the right-angle to mid-way of the radius. I fully expected this measurement to be the straight edges of the pad, which actually measure 3" (76mm). The product works fine but is not what I expected.

Banjolouise: I've had similar items before and knowing we had to empty a house for a deceased relative who had many items of furniture I purchased 2 more sets of these sliders. As long as you can get them under an item's base/feet - they can easily be slid around on carpet by one person - really helpful and i"d buy them again.
