MikeW: I putzed around for a while with the abrasive discs, and they worked, but not well. Finally I broke down and bought this even though I'm not a fan of this brand. Wow. The right tool for the job. I'm talking light duty really, cutting concrete/cinderblock stepping stones. Light duty or not, this thing buzzed right thru them. OK, not quite like butter, but still well enough I give it an easy 5 stars. Waste your money on slightly cheaper abrasive discs, or buy this. The abrasive discs work, not well, but work, but after the second cut this one is actually cheaper, not to mention it works better, faster.

You might consider a really cheap saw to use with this, the powder can't be good for it and you wouldn't want to kill a good Skil 77 worm drive or the like.

Lots of nasty powder, but no fault of the blade, just what you're working with. Use a dust mask or respirator or find a way to use it wet, but use a GFI if you do.

Joseph Ellsworth: I purchased this to retrofit the installation for a built-in barbeque grill. It required cutting a 10"X36" notch out of a rock veneer wall with steel wire reinforcement and multiple heavy gauge metal framing elements. This blade cut through them all and is not showing significant wear. Yesterday I had to cut about 1" off the end of a 3" X 8" X 26" sandstone plank. This blade went through it in about 2 minutes. I had to finish the last bit with a diamond grit Sawzall blade but the diamond circular blade goes through material about 10 times faster so it makes the entire job quick. During the grill installation I needed to cut a 1.5" thick granite slab about 12" long by 3" on each side of the grill. This blade made those cuts in under 5 minutes. I still needed the sawzall diamond blade to clean up the inner corner but the circular 70 made 95% of the cut in less time than the sawzall needed to do the 5% cleanup.

NOTE: Do not be fooled into buying an expensive cement saw unless you need to do a lot of cutting. I used a circular saw I picked up for $16 on amazon and it worked great. Yeah the dust will kill the bearings but for occasional use I would be surprised if I didn't get...

Midland: I have been using this blade to cut concrete paving materials. Most cuts typically are about 2 inches deep. So far I would have made about 40 cuts, dry. The blade shows some wear but it's still cutting.

Movie Fan: Purchased this blade to cut Nichiha masonry product for an art installation. I installed this blade on my circular saw and it made quick, smooth cuts. After completing my cuts, I removed the blade and inspected both sides. When inspecting the back face of the blade I found some disconcerting information. Although I was very pleased with the performance of the blade, according to the rear face of the blade this blade was NOT to be used in a circular saw. The product description on the Amazon page states this blade is for a circular saw application. Although I had no issues with using this blade in my saw I felt it was incumbent upon me to point out that DeWalt (per verbiage on the rear face of the blade) stats this is not a valid application.

Mike Mell: This blade worked surprisingly well-I am impressed. Bought 2, I cut a 6 foot trench in a concrete basement floor slab and the first blade is still cutting well. I cut 1" depth the full length, then 2"....then 3"....that way the blade didn't overheat. A bit of water helps keep the dust down-that and a Dexter type kill room (plastic draped ceiling to floor) will keep the dust contained to your work area.

Rod Jay: This was my first time cutting concrete. I cut several 1-3/4" thick concrete patio pavers using 3-4 passes on each paver, adjusting the blade a little deeper with each pass. The blade cut very well and faster than I expected. My project involved curves which I was able to achieve by lowering the blade onto the cut line in small increments, following the line. It worked very well. It's a good idea to wear ear plugs and safety glasses. Dust is also an issue so a mask is a must, but spraying a little water on the cut line periodically helped reduce the dust. This project was about 140 square feet involving 60 16x16 pavers and the blade showed no loss of cutting ability. It should be good for another project next summer.

Evan A.: This blade worked great throughout my small project. I purchased 3 at a great price and used 1 in each of my saws(mitre,circular, and portable table saw). It cut through cement block(faux rock panels), cement board, and Italian cermic tile with ease and clean edging. I would buy this product again without hesitation.
