Woodworker Blues: I bought these towels for my mom so I have not used them but they are soft and fluffy. I put them through the air fluff cycle on the dryer for 15 minutes 3 times before washing. There was little lint when they were washed. Would recommend

Linda Crawford: Got the towels today, washed them and used them. I don’t know what the reviews that complain about the ‘shedding’ are all about. Sure there was extra in the lint trap, but that is to be expected of any new towel. I gave 4 stars because they could be a bit thicker, but for the money, they’re good.

I was somewhat hesitant and skeptical prior to making the purchase for these, probably because of how large these are and how fair the price seemed. I bought them about a month ago and when the package arrived I opened and inspected them and everything looked ok. I was going to get them in a brown color since that's what my previous towels were but the grey ones were slightly less expensive and I'm not too concerned with aesthetics for bath towels.

I already knew I was going to have to wash them multiple times to break them in with the removal of the excess cotton fibers. I did initially wash and tumble dry them 5 or 6 times (with cool water, less dissolved minerals keeps them softer), as each time I would dry them the dryer lint trap would be roughly 80% full (again this was expected). LGG: I don't find these towells thin. I'd say they are medium weight which I wanted because they will dry more quickly. At first I felt the colour wasn't exactly like in the photo on Amazon but although it's brighter the colour is plenty dark enough out of the plastic. Happy with this purchase and with the fact I could buy hand towells and facecloths without buying bathtowells.

One thing that is unusual is the fact that the decorative band (not sure what to call that) is only at one end of the towell. Now I've always thought those bands, if too larger are a waste of useable towell so this doesn't bother me.

AHAH: I read a lot of reviews before buying this set, and a lot of yhem were saying how terrible they were. Even amazon insider tip said " frequently returned item". So I really took a leap of faith when I ordered them because I really really wanted soft 100% cotton towels in this color to compliment my bathroom colors and be absorbant and pleasant to use.
And it worked! The color is a bit brighter pink rather than coral or terracotta but it's okay. One of the towels did have a pulled thread but it was an easy fix. I washed them on their own first,as instructed. Had plenty of lynt in the dryer but no pieces of towels or anything as scary as other reviews. The color didn't bleed and the ends didn't scrunch. All photos are taken after the wash. Spread set after the first wash and hanging in the bathroom after the second wash. There was quite a lot of pink lynt in the dryer the second time as well but only half as much as the first time. (And most of the fluffy things do so).
Towels are very soft and absorbing so I think I received what I was looking for and for a great price!
