Beerfish: Great for labeling the tops of mason jars. But you really need to soak the lid to get the labels off.

E Buhn: I previously ordered these labels in a 1 1/2' diameter and then I wanted the larger 2' size as well. I do a lot of canning and love to use these for the produce and jams I put up. I also cater and the rustic look of these labels is perfect with the baskets/galvanized trays/canning jar drink dispensers I use. They are a good size, easy to fill out to label foods, cheeses and drinks. When I am cleaning up, these labels peel off cleanly leaving no sticky residue. I write on them with a permanent calligraphic black marker and the writing never smears. Should I happen to run a jar with one of the labels (such as a jar for garlic butter) through the dishwasher, the label remains in place until I remove it. The price is great for a generous roll of labels. I really like them!
