Copelynne WhitakerCopelynne Whitaker: i really like the look, quality, and price. i have this little arrangement in my bathroom and it adds the perfect touch. i wish i had bought a deeper bowl however. the depth is not terrible for the succulents for now, but i'm unsure of the long term compatibility
for deeply rooted plants, i would highly advise the deeper product options.

SolarRae: These adorable little plant pots are well-made and durable, but you can't plant much in them because they are very shallow. They are about the size of a small dessert plate and and inch tall, so they only hold about a half inch of soil. Small succulents with shallow roots do well in these, but the limited amount of soil means it dries out quickly and you need to water the plants every other day, at least. I started out planting larger succulents in them, but they were suffering from lack of soil so now I use them to grow my succulent babies. They do have a hole in the bottom about the size of a dime, but they did not come with screens to go over the hole, so the soil and water leaks out onto the untreated bamboo and leaves a stain. In humid climates, mold can form under the ceramic because the wood stays moist. So I suggest using a little piece of screen over the hole, water in the sink and let it drain completely. Before you place it back on the wooden tray, lay down a small square of paper towel. This method worked great for me and I've had no trouble since. I took off one star because they need to be a half inch deeper and include a screen.

S. Ferg: Shallower and smaller than I was expecting considering how many plants were in the planters that was pictured. If you have very small succulent plants, you could possibly get a couple in the planters but there is no room for growth. I do like the way the planters look. I intend on starting succulents in the planters and moving the succulents to bigger planters later. I wish these were double or triple the size. A little pricey considering how small the planters are in size
