L. Schiff: I've made my own ice cream since the pandemic started and thought I'd try Junket to steam-line my effort... the ice cream is not as creamy and is a bit icy... this last time, I added egg yolks to make it like I do my home made version and it's better - I've also added cocoa and coffee as flavors and they work well with the vanilla... I'd definitely buy it again...

Robert STL: I remember having this as a kid in the mid-sixties and I loved it then. I just added a new freeze bucket for my KitchenAid stand mixer and I thought of Junket Ice Cream mix from my younger days. It's probably a formula change but it doesn't taste like I remember. Although it is good, it could benefit by some added richness. It froze very well in my freezer bucket. It produced a very firm soft serve after 25 minutes in my cold winter kitchen., then on to the freezer. Today, I made a milkshake using 1 cup of ice cream, 1/2 cup whole milk, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract and 3 teaspoons Sweetened Condensed Milk and mixed in a blender. It was pretty darn good. I'll buy again for those times I don't feel like making a stove top custard.
