smc: Being from Indianapolis but transplanted to Florida, I miss St. Elmo's steakhouse. While the bottle can't provide the experience of the restaurant, the flavor of their cocktail sauce can't be beat. Careful with that first bite though. Lots of horseradish. I've got my friends in Florida hooked on it now as well.

David A.: I'm originally from Indiana and have had the pleasure of dining at St Elmo's in Indy . The cocktail sauce is legendary in the Midwest . Its spicy hot due to the quality horseradish used heavily in the mix . Since I have had this sauce before I knew what to expect. So I was worried that being bottled and shipped would take some of the edge off. The bottled version did not disappoint. The first bite almost got me . Best horseradish cocktail sauce I have ever had. It will ruin you . After having this you don't want anybody else's watery, sweet, ketchup mix with a mild hint of horseradish touching your shrimp - its that good. Approach with caution though. Fresh out of a newly opened bottle is when it is the strongest and it will hurt you (it calms down ,with age, after being opened). It can light up your nasal passages and make you wish your head would explode just to make it stop. However, as soon as you recover your going back for more - just a little more cautiously and with a little more respect :)
