jonnyjj: Some parts of the book are actually quite useful. Other parts verge arm common knowledge and common sense. Other parts seeing a little bit over complicated such as the use of equations and formula when trying to explain theory.

JB K.: It's good advice. Probably won't fix your ADHD if you have it, but there is a lot of common sence and all of that works as a rule of thumb... but...

This book is faaaaar too long for what it has to offer. A good 90% of the pages are wortheless, needlessly explaining the same situation/answer/solution. We can clearly see the auhtor needed to sell a full lenght book but didn't have the material. It looks likes someone tried to elaborate on a 15 slides powerpoint, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was the case.

Also, did anyone ever proofread the manuscript ? I have noticed several typos and mistakes in the first few pages... and I'm not even a native english speaker, i've most likely missed some.

jetteh22: I feel like there was a lot of basic common sense information. I came away not really knowing a LOT more but there were a couple of tips that made stuck with me and have helped me be more self disciplined in a few areas of my life. I'll try some of the other tips out as well - but some just aren't practical.

The book was riddled with typo's though. It wasn't too distracting but they could use a good proofreader/editor or something.

I thought the "5-minute exercises to build self control" is a bit misleading because I expected the book to be more about that when, in reality, it was short chapters that each didn't really give practical exercises you can use in your every day life to help build self control.

Overall it was an okay book.

EDIT: I am upping it to 4 stars just because there was a chapter towards the beginning that talks about excuses for not doing things and how it affects you and THAT chapter really resonated for me and I have made huge strides in self discipline over the last few weeks specifically because it taught me to call out my excuses and do whatever I'm supposed to do anyways. I haven't missed a day of exercising or cleaning in over...

Michael Quinn: This book is a relatively quick read that underlines some basic tactics to use in order to increase your self-discipline.

It is perfect for new readers, albeit for a handful of spelling mistakes and grammatical errors that could potentially confuse.

Having read through this book and highlighting key points along the way. I now have a series of potentially influence statements and small tactics to help me in my task to become disciplined.

For future books, please take extra care in reviewing and revising content in order to make your books stand out. Because for that reason I won’t be looking to purchase anymore.
