Sophie M. Customer Care: One of the four latches had a defect, in that the screw hole was stripped out and the screw just slid in and out. I filed with Amazon and they sent a new package of four out in 48 hours. I just took one to replace and am sending back the faulty one with the other three for my money back. It's kind of a shame to waste them like that, but so it goes.
They work great for my purpose on my boat to keep my v berth cushion conversion to bed in place. There were previously two rubber latches but they wore out. These do the trick. The one thing that would have been nicer is if I could have found a 90 degree angle "catch hook" instead of the flat ones on this. Or if the flat ones had a little bit more extension away from the anchor point, but that's specific to my installation maybe. All in all, I'd say I'd trust these individually to withstand about 40-50lbs of pulling pressure in the optimal direction, but if you say put them on a gate to keep a pig from pushing it open, the pig could probably push it open with less than 40lbs of pressure. It all depends on the angle you come at the latch with.

Jeffrey S Alvarez: This is exactly what I needed. My wife and I built a "drawer system" for the back of my 2007 Suburban but instead of drawers we went with a Chest-style type system where you access the storage from the top. There aren't many options I could find that would allow us to keep the top locked down preventing the contents from bouncing around and these items worked perfectly. I like that you're able to make adjustments though would have liked that it came with screws. As far as durability, I do hope it can keep up with the abuse.
