JHPhoto: Had stick feet on our sofas as we have hardwood floors but they moved so sticky would mess-up floor, these are great they make it so easy to move and protect floor.

Vardy V: We hoped fro the best and got it. They work great on our tile floor. At our age getting the entertainment center up the inch or so was a job. We think they look okay left under the legs. I believe I can use the indenture as a guide to cut them down to really look like part of the furniture, if that comes. It sure beats trying to slide an inexpensive cabinet without some young strong backs.

AdrianneAdrianne: I asked a question about these a couple years back wondering if these pads would be useful in absorbing shock/vibration, and realized I never left a review.

Short answer: yes!!

Long answer: some of the reviews I had read when researching the pictured mic (Yeti Blue) said that it picked up vibrations from any surface it was placed on due to its metal base.

I was on the hunt for something that would not only absorb the shock and minimize the background feedback, but also be wide enough in diameter to accommodate the 5" base of the microphone. Not only do these sliders work great for protecting wood floors from furniture, they also work amazingly well to dampen the incidental background noise the microphone would have picked up (typing on a keyboard, picking up/putting down a cup, etc).

Very happy with this purchase, and just know they can be applied to other uses!

chong chow: Moved a super heavy bookcase on hardwood floors without scratching floor. So I would say they do what they are supposed to.

rosie the riveter: Slip the disks under heavy furniture and you can easily slide the heavy pieces wherever you like. I would leave the furniture in place on the discs for several hours (or 1 day) until the weight of the furniture molds into the rubberized portion of the disc. I found the disc would slide out a bit when I tried to move the furniture too soon. If you do have to move a piece of furniture in a timely fashion....just go slowly the discs will still make an easy job of the move.

Todd: These have been great moving heavy furniture on hard wood floors. I bought a set of the hard plastic ones for use on carpet years ago thinking they were a gimmick but they worked so well once I had hardwood floors I thought I'd try these and they are equally impressive. They don't make it super easy to slide, but manageable and they protect the floor. In fact I've actually left them on the couch legs as floor protectors. It's easy to slide the couch when I want to move it, but it's not so easy that it moves on it's own.

Eco Smile: I hoped these would be better, but unfortunately, they didn't work very well for me. I tried moving a somewhat light desk and an Ikea bookshelf with these SuperSliders by Waxman. Either one or two of the felt bottom movers would get loosened from the furniture such that there were only two or three still attached to the bottom of the furniture I was trying to move. I had to stop moving the furniture and then lift it up to put the missing felt bottom mover disc back under the furniture. Also, I think that it is not trivial to lift up a piece of furniture to place these felt bottom movers underneath the furniture, but I'm not sure if there is a better way. The packaging makes the product look like it's a well-vetted product (as you would find a store), but unfortunately it just doesn't seem to work very well for my moving needs this time on hard (laminate/fake wood) floor. It does protect the floor from scratches though.
