Aerosynth929: Seems like a good product so far. However, to be fair, I am only using the antenna portion and not the base that came with it. I used this with a rail mount because I hate drilling holes in the hull unless absolutely necessary. If only someone could make a decent VHF antenna that's not four feet long and ugly, that would be awesome. It's 2023 and we're literally living in an AI-powered future... but yet we're still using the same radio antennas I remember my dad and grandfather using in the 1980s... <facepalm>

Joell C: Great looking product for price and very easy to mount. This antenna works great with a beautiful long range for reception… extremely happy with the quality and saved myself $150 from what the antenna cost at the marine shop!!!
Very easy to instal and has more than sufficient amount of cable length for installation. Would definitely recommend it!!!

T.H.: The product works as advertised. Tip, pay attention to where you are mounting it. I mounted mine a little too low on the side of my boat so that when pull into or back out of the trailer, I have to make sure I don't knock it off. Also, when I pull up to a dock, I need to stick a buoy between the boat and the dock so that the antenna does not smash up against the dock. Get an antenna clip to clip the end of the antenna so it sticks to the side of the boat when not in use. Every time I take my boat cover off, this thing gets snagged in the boat cover. I am sure I am going to knock this off one of these days. I would probably go with a stainless steel base and rod next time. One last tip, remember to make sure its locked down, the plastic lever seems to constantly get bumped and snagged (as mentioned previously) and you don't notice it until you are on the freeway and see the antenna pointing halfway down.
