It’s made in a wide strip that can easily be pulled apart into narrower strips, making it easy to use as thick or as thin a piece as desired.

I use it around A/C’s and it’s still pliable at the end of the season, and easy to remove. Even when I neglected to remove this until the next summer, a full 12 months, it’s easy to pull off to discard.

Honest Review: Peel, tear off and apply. You'll need to make sure the surface is clean and dry, otherwise its not going to adhere very well. Can be removed, rolled up and reused. Can be molded into different shapes and sizes.

Bob L.: Good sealing, very helpful in difficult conditions but a little be temperature sensitive so when I tried to apply it during a wind storm, cloudy, sunless day at 47º F, it was stiff and stuck to my fingers more than it stuck to the window frame.

I still recommend it really did stop the significant cold air leaks (and small leaks as well) which is exactly what we wanted,

When the temperature is a little bit warmer its easy to apply but when the metal window frame got down to 47º F in high winds, it got still and did not stick to the metal frame so much, I could still push it into place into the grooves that were laking a huge amount of air.

NOTE:

Even a tiny hole can leak a massive amount of air, so its best to use more and push it into every possible crevice to trite catch all the possible leaks.

When the window temperature is cld and the caulk doesn't want to stick to the cold metal frame, it will tend to stick to your fingers so push in to the slot/crevice then slide or twist your finger to release the caulk (don't worry it washes easily off you're fingers so push it as hard as necessary to get it to stick to the frame). Sofa Critic: The product comes in a box, but inside, the caulking cord is not packaged in plastic to keep it from drying out. The roll that I used wasn't completely dried out. It still had some adhesive properties and it could be shaped to some degree.

#AskMissPatience: The only thing that’s difficult to tell in the photos is the narrow thread of putty per strand. I had thought each would be as I remembered the last time I used this many years ago.

These spaghetti thick strands can be pulled off for single use or you’ll need several together to help with some breezeways.

The good news is it’s possible to use a few together for an area requiring a little extra.

When I learned new windows only have a 25 year window warranty but not on the frame itself. This is only two years realized replacing the original window might not be the best idea.

The R value of my windows is one. A new window is 3. But, sealing up storm window gaps with caulk. Refurbishing the original windows in a few ways. Improving functionality with new weight ropes. Plus, replacing the caulk around the windows itself will all contribute to better weather value. Blackout thick curtains. Help, too.

The only issue is those tiny worn spots. This removable putty is my next effort.

This last year I used insulation boards that come in a large pack for windows at about 1/2 inch. This increased R value but blocked the window.
