Debra Kirby: I wanted a small shelf to fit in a specific alcove. The dimensions of this unit is perfect. Holds books, stand up photo frames, a variety of memorabilia and isn’t so deep that it sticks out to far from the wall. The look is modern but not overly utilitarian. It is perfect for my husband’s aviation collection and I could see it working with just about any collection that does not require a shelf with an attached back panel. I like that the color of my wall can been seen through the it as it makes the shelf fit right in with my room decor. It was not difficult to put together, it’s sturdy, won’t topple over easily (I have not anchored it to the wall), and I’m thinking it will last as long as I want it to.

P. CooperP. Cooper: So far there is nothing I don’t like about the IBF solid wood bookshelf. The unit fit perfectly in the space it was intended to fill, was simple to put together(instructions call for two people but I was able to do it alone), and is very sturdy and attractive. There is plenty of room between the shelves for all but the largest of books(or in my case, a tall blender), and there are options for selecting 3-5 shelves. One reviewer listed the color of the shelves as ‘gold’, but while the bottom of each shelf is a honey maple color, the tops are darker maple in appearance. Since there is only one way to attach the shelves to the frame, the bottom of each shelf is not in view.
The shelving unit comes with everything needed for assembly, including anchors for attaching it to a wall for more security; this would be a safe and functional addition to a child’s room.
Finally, I was impressed with the price of this bookshelf. I researched quite a few, and others that were constructed from solid wood and not particle board were far more expensive or considerably smaller. I would definitely recommend this purchase, and will probably purchase another for my home office.
