Reademandweep: The media could not be loaded. 1 Star. UPDATE: Forget everything I said below. This company has gone to the dark side. plastic packaging. Rice is rice so without the burlap packaging, forget this brand.

Rice is basic. You have to work hard to screw it up so I’d like to get out of the way that this is good quality, great tasting basmati rice.
So why buy Bombay basmati rice? Because the burlap bag packaging tells me a lot about the company and that this is a company I want to support.
We ALL know plastic is killing our world and ocean life because it’s unnatural and not biodegradable. (Plastic is NOT part of the circle of life.)
But how many companies are doing something about it? We can’t do anything about the existing plastic, except stop buying it so they stop manufacturing it. (Maybe one day they will work on finding a way to biologically break it down).
Meanwhile, We (the little people) wonder what one family can do that will make a difference? We can buy from sellers that use paper and other biodegradable packaging instead of plastic!.
