Librarian Kim: Since little things like this are so easily lost, it's nice to get a four pack. They work great. Beware-- Your kid is likely to go around writing on the walls with these and think themselves very clever!

Dana MillsDana Mills: Only three of the lights work on this set of four markers/pens. The pink one we received writes fine, but the blacklight doesn't work, which defeats the purpose. Decided to keep them anyway because my daughter has been waiting to share these with her friends and she doesn't want to wait for a replacement despite my insisting we do so. They're nothing special really, but I guess you get what you pay for (or not even considering 25% of this purchase is nonfunctional).
The marker pens write nicely and the ink shows up well under the blacklight. The blacklight flashlight on the working pens is pretty weak, but it serves it's purpose well enough if you hold the light directly over your writing. I like that you can switch the light into the "on" position so you don't have to hold a button in the whole time while trying to read the "secret" message, however it's possible one could be accidentally switched on and let the battery drain, which is probably what happened to the pink one for us during shipment. I wish I could just replace the battery.
I'll be purchasing a different set of blacklight markers/pens next time, I won't go with this set again. But the three of four...
