christopher m: Great scents, the sandalwood smells realllly good! Product itself, not very oily but oily enough that it doesn't clump a lot. Very good texture, which can be hard to find in a balm. Price is good for the variety, got the 4 set as stocking stuffers for my band mates and they all loved them! Kept one for myself (sandalwood) because it smelled so damn good. feels great in the beard, would recommend

Michael_Mc: The first Rocky Mountain Barber Company beard balm I ordered was the full size tin of the Cedarwood scent. I found I like the balm and I liked the Cedarwood scent. Then I found this four pack and ordered it to see what the other scents were like.

Everyone has a different preference so I will not attempt to describe the scents. What smells good to one person smells different to another. There are times when I prefer no scent at all. The unscented fills that preference very nicely. Of the other three I find Sandalwood to be the strongest and longest lasting. The Cedarwood also has a longer lasting scent, but not as long as Sandalwood.

This leaves Bamboo as the fastest for the scent to fade. As far as the scent goes, my least favorite is Sandalwood, due to the strong long lingering scent. It reminds me of the scent of a candle my wife has.

My personal favorite of the three scented balms is Bamboo, but Cedarwood come in a very close second. Cedarwood has a pleasant scent and the scent lasts longer than Bamboo. I highly recommend the Rocky Mountain Barber Company beard balms.

Yves: The product works very well and they smell great!(except the cedarwood) I don’t find the scents overpowering at all. The cedarwood however I can’t stand at all. It’s the only one of the 4 that has tea tree oil in it and that’s all you smell after you warm the balm in your hands. I hate tea tree oil and find the scent incredibly off putting. Other than not liking the one balm, the rest are great! Just avoid the cedarwood unless you want to smell like tea tree oil

OutdoorDataDude: I have been looking for a balm that is a little waxier than most, which seem to be more oily. This product seems to be more between a balm and a wax, which is exactly what I wanted! It helps easily control unruly beard hairs and keep everything looking, and smelling, great. I purchased the variety pack since I have not used this product previously and I really enjoy all of the scents, and the unscented one - so I may just purchase this again in the future! Plus the smaller tins of balm are nice to have on hand in the office, at home, etc. so I can always touch up the beard!

Glen RoopGlen Roop: The scents are incredible. The bamboo has a crisp sweet flower smell. The sandalwood is wonderful. The cedarwood is the strongest of the scents but definitely not offputting, it has the manliness to it. My favorites in order are the bamboo, sandalwood, cedarwood and unscented. The balms have a nice firm texture and not super greasy giving your beard a really nice hold. Will definitely be getting the larger tins. Great buy.

J: Good sample pack to try different scents. All 4 have nice scents that are fairly nose-blind after the first few minutes, I don't like beard oil or balm that I can smell throughout the day, the scent isn't for me after all. All of them work well as moisturizers, I've been using them daily for about a month and there's no itch or "beard-ruff" so they're working fine as moisturizers. I would like a little more hold from them, some other brands have a little more holding/shaping power to keep the stray hairs in place - that's why there's a star missing.

Here's the feedback on the smells from my sources:
Original - Nice scent, smells kind of like Old Spice, good for every day wear.
Bamboo - Light scent, almost smells like I don't have anything at all in my beard.
Cedar - "You smell like you got an uppercut from a redwood"
Sandalwood - Okay scent, kind of hippy-ish.

Schwert: Excellent balms. I prefer the cedar and bamboo scents over the sandlewood, with the essentially unscented classic as last. The balm is a nice mix of oils and wax with a just-right amount of "stiffness". I am glad to have tried the 4-pack. The little screw-top tins are perfect for travel. I will likely order a large cedarwood in the future and refill the little tins.

Scents are complex, with sweetness like vanilla, cut wood, and fresh grass under the named scent. Scents last for several hours but are very subtle and not overpowering at all. Classic has no scent I can find, so perfect if scents are bothersome.

Chad: This is a great product for a number of reasons:
1. The packaging is sound. The tins aren't the cheap 'pop top' but the ones with the screw lids.
2. You get three scents and one natural scent for the price of one beard balm anywhere else. You're basically getting one more oz. of product compared to other brands for the same price. Are you going to love all the scents? Probably not. But is there a scent for everyone, and are they high-quality? Absolutely.
3. These aren't cheaply made balms. A lot of balms are oily/high-shine and soft as a result of too much butter. Some may prefer a softer balm, but I like the thickness of Rocky Mountain Barber Co.'s because there is less chance of residue getting on your clothing. The balms also hold shape well and don't leave an oily texture when you touch your mane.

Overall, I'm very impressed, and if you're looking for a new brand to try you should give this Canadian company a go!
