Scrappycat001Scrappycat001: I purchased this tool kit as well as the Bike-Hand portable (55lb cap.) repair stand so that I could do complete overhauls, repairs, and routine tune ups and maintenance on my trusty '05' Specialized Rockhopper Comp from my apartment.
It generally has most of the bike specific tools one may need for most types and styles of bikes and their components. (Especially important to me was it having a External Bearing Cartridge BB Tool for my 2 pc Shimano Crankset.) It does however lack many common tools such as a adjustable wrench, various types of pliers (channel lock, dikes, locking (vice grip), etc., and other "convenience" items that would make up a more complete "shop-like" tool set. Of course, anyone doing bike maintenance/repair from home would want to have a variety of tools specific to the bike they will be working on. This kit has all the basic bike tools anyone would need.
The box itself is a hefty plastic, and has a place to put a lock on it. There are two removeable tool trays and the bottom of the box has cut-out foam tool positions. There is room enough to fit other tools and other equipment you might want to add as well.

John M. Hammer: I've been slowly doing more and more of my own bike maintenance as well as helping other people with theirs. I recently had a big project (complete tear down and rebuild of a Rans Stratus XP Al recumbent) and there were a few tools I didn't have, mainly related to removal of the cranks and the cassette. Rather than continuing to buy tools here and there/now and then as I needed them I decided it was time to purchase a fairly complete kit. This Bikehand kit looked like it had all the tools I didn't have but currently needed, had good reviews, was way cheaper than the Park equivalent, and I liked the toolbox.

I've used the chain whip and cassette removal tools, the crank puller, the chain breaker, the pedal wrench, the spoke wrenches, and the allen wrenches. I had a chain breaker already but it's small and designed to be carried in an emergency on-bike kit; the one in this Bikehand shop kit is much better. I had a pedal wrench from Park and they're about the same. I had spoke wrenches and allen wrenches, too, and I think the allen wrenches in this Bikehand kit are awesome – well-shaped, strong, big enough to get some leverage when needed. I already had a...
