Gil: I use theses connectors to make electrical connections on cars at times. They are easy to use and self splice into the wire. Depending on what you are installing, they can really cut down on the time it takes to splice and compkete connections. So far, I have not had a connector fail.

chsguy: hard to snap together over wire. used pliers electrical pliers finally ended up using channel locks. ehhh still not convinced on connectivity.

SactoTK: The only complaint I have is that the metal part of the splicer clamp easily comes off. You can put them back in, no problem. But it is annoying if it falls off while you are wiggling to get it in position to tap into the wire.

Selecting the right size for both the splicer and T connector is not only critical for the secure connection, but it also makes your job easier. Crimping the T connector, for instance, can be done without a crimping tool. The handle portion of my wire cutter did just fine.

Russ Harper: So easy it's almost TOO easy . Suspicion kept my brow furrowed after I used them , couldn't quite believe I'd tapped into my oem speaker wire so simply . Half expected them not to work. But they did. They do . Where were you my whole life ?
If I could only take back the hours or weeks wasted on splicing into wires in the past ....
Sigh.
These work so well that I'm depressed . Go figure .

J. Grafford: When you inset the spade into the tap make sure the spade is in the middle of it's protective housing. Other wise it will not contact the metal in the connector. I spent almost an hour trying to figure out why I had poser to the tap, but not out of it. Then I saw the spade visible through its sheath. compared to the scotch-lock wire tap this will fit into a smaller area. At the same time the wire sticking out at 90 degrees makes using a number of them close together a bit cumbersome.
