A friend of mine is looking to take the GED at 16, and is a little math-phobic, and this book has been perfect. First, it has full instructions on the calculator you must use on the exam, something I couldn't find in other books. Second, it starts off at the beginning, with arithmetic, multiplication tables, etc. This is helpful if you need the review. In my friend's case, she was good with this material, and was able to gain confidence for the remaining chapters. Third, the remainder of the book is aligned to what's on the test, with no extraneous material that appears on other exams. This keeps the focus tightly on what needs to be reviewed, although the sample questions are a bit harder than actual GED math questions I've seen. So, if you can answer the examples, then you'll definitely be ready to pass this on the first attempt. Fourth, all questions have fully worked solutions included, something that's not true in all of these review books. Overall, an excellent book to prepare for GED Math.
