MaryAnnG: I bought this as a replacement cue for my partner who is improving since we moved to a place with pool tables. Probably not the right cue stick if you are "Allison Fisher" but if you enjoy a game a couple of times a week, it's well balanced and has a nice grip. The bonus is that it comes with a glove and a tip scrapper so all in all, a very good purchase.

Grumpy Old Musical Techie: Found this cue quite by accident when I started playing again after almost 35 year hiatus. It is a great cue for folks just starting out that don't want to play with a house stick. The quality is what you'd expect from a $76 cue, so you're not getting an entry level McDermott here but it works to get you going. The butt is actually a little wonky and the joint doesn't always feel secure but it looks great and plays okay. I needed to get a longer cue so now I use this as a break cue. Works great.

dawjr: I'm an amateur hobby pool player and simply wanted my own stick. Of course there are numerous choices available and they can be confusing to the newbie. But my goal was simple, get the most bang for the buck - my comfort level was around $50-$75 dollars, which put this choice at the lower end of that scale. When purchasing a stick, the worst anticipation is getting a stick the might be warped or crooked - no worries here, this one was absolutely perfect. Perfect roll on the billiard surface, no wobbles, none. The second is the tip, this one was perfectly shaped and pre-scuffed. I chose the 19.5 ounce, no regrets there. The finish on the handle is flawless. The grip I chose is a wrapped leatherette (It might be leather, but I doubt it) which is smooth feeling, but if you have moist hands this might not be the best choice and go with a linen wrapped. I decided against linen wrapped due to possible longevity issues. The finish on the business end however was unusual (to me) so much so that I wrote the seller and asked about it. The shaft from behind the tip to within 4" of the ferrule is raw wood. True it's polished silky smooth, and it feels absolutely great...
