Adam024Adam024: Only thing negative. I think I can say is I would prefer if it was stainless steel hardware. Overall pretty sturdy. First time owning a kayak rack for my car. Easy to take off once you’re done with them.

AZbumpAZbump: With a 13mm ratchet wrench AND a deep socket 13mm bit and a drill this was a breeze to build. I tried to show the build process with the actual product and not the blurry drawing of the instructions. NOTE: in the photo of all the parts I forgot to put the washers next to the plastic wingnuts - so don’t forget to add those. I also made a build video for this product, so check that out if you are more of a “in person” video person. I ADDED some 1/8th rubber to go between that steel rectangle that mounts with the bolts and the top of my cargo roof rails to protect the metal to metal contact. (See that video for more on that)
OVERALL, I am pleased with the apparent quality of the kayak racks. And since they are able to be dismantled that would make it easy to replace the EVA foam if those ever weathered. That last photo was an attempt to show the gauge of the items compared to a standard Craftsman wrench.

Jennifer: Seems like good quality. Installed easily on truck and Hauled kayaks on long trip they where very stable. Appearance is nice

CamiloCamilo: I take a like 1h’ 30m to ensamble by myself and I have to use a extra tool for do it more faster but in the final looks really good in the car, is really sturdy.

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: The first set took me longer than I'd like to admit to assemble and install. The second set took me 45 minutes. This included modifying the bottom wing nuts. The fasteners were not long enough to engage the threads in the wing nuts. I ended up modifying the wing nuts (black plastic) by trimming down the neck (see attached photo). This allowed the fasteners to engage the nuts and allow me to secure the kayak rack to the truck rack.
Once together, the racks are sturdy and just barely fit the width of my Harbor Freight truck rack. I loaded my 13' tandem kayak and it nested well into the J frame style kayak racks. Just double check all your fasteners and you should be good to go!
