Matthew Jackson: I bought this before a vacation and found it was really well made, does not have a plastic smell, and the hose quick disconnect is great! I would fill it with ice, then top it up with water and had built in cooling for my back the first half of the day. Getting it fully dried out is a bit of a challenge because of the baffle, but I used a small and thin towel to get into the corners. I am hoping that the cleaning kit will have a dryer rack to keep the bag open.

scott yu: my old bladder had the screw-on lid (wide mouth) that was a bit fiddly to seat the lid properly (had more than a few spills that I found in the car on the way to wherever I was going). I like the single-fold top esp for cleaning or adding ice with a wider mouth.

The quick disconnect is a lot less fiddly as well, and hopefully the insulated tube will prevent freezing on ski trips (but it'll be a while before I can test that).

Neel: This is the first hydration bladder I've ever owned, and I bought it for a hiking trip in Yosemite, as I didn't want to have to carry several water bottles with me all day.

The overall construction of the bladder was great, and the materials used felt premium. The outside of the pack is soft to the touch but still has some texture to it, and I was pleasantly surprised by it, since I was just expecting a smooth plastic pouch. The slide top makes it easy to fill and clean, but still provides a tight seal, so I wasn't really worried about it leaking. The baffle in the center of the bladder provides a nice weight distribution and keeps it from being too bulbous in the middle like other packs. I filled it with relatively cold water at the beginning of the day and found that it stayed quite cool throughout the rest of the day. The nozzle is wrapped in what looks to be an insulated fabric, though whatever water was in the nozzle got somewhat warm, as it was outside of my backpack. It is easy to remove with the little release button, which I haven't had leaks from yet. ZacharyZachary: Problems I ran into:

My box came damaged but there was nothing wrong with the product!
I had some trouble sliding the closure mechanism on and off. After doing it for a while, it loosed up and now I can do it without putting a significant amount of force into it.
I washed it twice before usage and no problems with the water tasting weird.
Next thing I encountered was how to open the bite valve so water could come through. Just like the closure mechanism, it was difficult at first but became easy after some break in. If you are wondering why water isn't coming through, it's because you need to pull on the bite valve and pop it into the open position. bite down and pull it, it should open up like the pictures. It may pop off the whole piece the first time, like it did to me. I know was confused at the mechanism at first.
