First of all, this is a BUDGET beverage refrigerator under $200. We all know we get what we pay for...People who want an automatic light and a whisper quiet motor need to purchase a more expensive model. That being said, for less than $200 this refrigerator is a good deal. We liked it so much in fact that we ordered another and were willing to pay $15 more, as we ordered the first one on Prime Day at a lower cost.
If you compare this to other models in the same price range, you will find that this one is not lacking in features. If loaded properly, it gets cold and stays cold. (Unlike the Danby model, similarly priced...Those reviews say people actually had to hack into the thermostat and manually change it to get a cool temp.) This refrigerator is not what I would consider noisy. Occasionally you can hear the motor running, but it is barely noticeable. (Our Bosch dishwasher is 3x as loud as this refrigerator. As I type this review, I am 10 feet away from the refrigerator and it is silent.)
The shelves are sturdy. *I compared this model with the next pricier model and the only difference I could see was that the $250 refrigerator has many good reviews and...

J. Bliesmer:
I’ve been running this cooler for just over 3 months and believe this product is a very solid value. All the negative reviews concerned me a bit so I also added SquareTrade Warranty. Overall cost with added warranty is still considerably less than competing products on Amazon and other marketplaces.
Primarily used for beer, soda, & sparkling water I’ve been very happy so far. Temp does fluctuate but beverages stay nice and cool so I can only presume that’s by design. Things are coldest towards the top, so temp isn’t perfectly distributed but items on the bottom do stay cool.
Only reason I didn’t go 5 stars is the shelves can bow if overloaded. Doesn’t appear to be a risk of breaking or anything but it’s cosmetic and I do notice.
Overall, it has a premium look and it cools well. I do not regret this choice.

JB: I received this NewAir beverage fridge on 01/22/23 and was very impressed with its construction and features (digital thermostat, capacity, etc). I initially placed this in my living room roughly 6 feet from my couch. As many others have mentioned, I quickly noticed the odd "warbling" and/or pigeon sounds this unit would make. It was extremely noticeable and hard to ignore. Additionally, I noticed that it wasn't maintaining a constant temperature, despite my following all of the instructions for first use.
For context, I also have a 2 tap kegerator in my living room that is roughly the same size and it barely makes a peep. After messing with the feet and trying to level it properly, I grew frustrated and figured that I would just have to live with the annoying sound that would occur almost every 20 minutes or so.
The other day, however, it dawned on me that my placement of the unit wasn't ideal. I had placed it in front of a window and next to my balcony door, which I tend to keep open when it's nice out. The constant sunlight and outdoor temps were probably messing with this unit, I hypothesized. By simply moving the unit from the window...
