jane dailey: This is my absolute favorite rice! I’ve ordered two bags since the pandemic started. I have cooked the whole first bag and it came out perfectly every time. I use my instant pot and here’s my recipe:
2 cups rice
2 1/2 cups water or chicken stock/bone broth (my preference)
Salt

Combine Ingredients and Stir to mix
Set pressure cooker to high pressure and set for 20 minutes. Let the pressure release naturally for 20 minutes or so. I usually cook all my other stuff during that time. I wait until the pot switches to warm itself to open the lid. Fluff with a fork. Add whatever!

Absolute best rice ever.

Mikaela Collins: My roommate and I bought this at the beginning of the pandemic because it was literally the only rice we could get our hands on, online or in person, and I don't know what to say about it except that it's rice. Nice flavour, good value, and surprisingly fancy packaging.

RsantiRsanti: I had to stop eating white rice due to my blood glucose. This rice tastes good and seems to help me keep my blood glucose from spiking. I will not miss white rice any more. This was an easy switch for me. I also like that it is medium grain.

This is a follow-up on previous review. I still consider it an excellent brown rice, but I now buy it from Wegmans at $22.99 for 20lb bag

Wrenn M: I am super, super picky about brown rice. Frankly, I think most of it is disgusting in flavor and texture. This, however, is sublime - fresh, delicious, and toothsome. I cook it on the white rice setting on my rice maker because I like it a bit al dente. It's the only one worth buying, in my opinion. I was delighted at just HOW fresh this bag was when it arrived - it smells and feels like it was just picked. Buy it; you won't regret it!

PS - pro tip - if you have leftovers, try putting some oil in a skillet over medium heat, spreading it out in the pan and occasionally stirring it until it becomes crisp/chewy and slightly clumpy (bonus points if you add sesame seeds). SO good.

Fake Name: Cheap bulk brown rice, relatively tasty and wholesome, cooks well. Suggest store in sealed glass, fridge or freezer to prevent bugs getting in. Refrigeration will also prolong freshness as this package could take a while to consume.

Since previous review below, price was "reasonably increased but still acceptable and I went ahead and purchased at $23+ considering all economic factors. Then now, just few months price went up again. to nearly double close to $40 from my first review I don't think I'll buy. Rather find alternative like gluten free organic brown rice or brown rice pasta 🤔 . I don't think I will ever buy Ata price double from original and an opportunity to change diet as well and remove this rice from my home pantry.

PREVIOUSLY
This is a good rice. Kosher/Gluten free. I ordered multiple times since 2019 when it was at $19.99 and glad back to being reasonable again.
I have been purchasing this item since 2019 then price change got me to shop at a better price locally.
Now that price is acceptable, although with some increase, I might be be sharing sharing with my friends again.

Kelly: This is the first time in my life Ive ever had brown rice that i truely enjoyed. That being said . Its is not like any other brown rice Ive ever Tasted . It is chewy and a bit sticky. It reminded me of barley when i was eating it. I would still prefer white rice but tying to eat healthier this rice is definitly OK:)

Jonathan: I really like this rice. I bought it once and now I am buying it again. Very good rice! Especially for the price. It's not quite as tasty as small grain organic rice from Whole Foods, but it is much less expensive! Solid 4 stars close to 4.5 stars.

Update 09/14/21. I've bought this rice 4 or 5 times now. But suddenly the price 55% higher. Don't pay over $20. I've gotten it as low as $15, but usually around $19.95

Aju's Cafe: I didn't see any review from Canada, so thought of posting one. I have tasted brown rice before and never really enjoyed it. This has more cooking time, so I ended up doing pressure cook and it looked sticky (because of pressure cooker) and it wasn't appealing. But when you microwave it before eating, its not that sticky and I have to comment that it taste amazing. I never expected brown rice to be this great tasting. I don't think i'll go back to white rice anymore. Very happy with the purchase.
