Cell phone mount is puny and inadequacy. Mounting a cell phone to the binoculars is difficult and clumsy. The binoculars are fine and work well...the cell phone kit is more of a marketing tool to make it seem like you are getting more than just binoculars in my option.

When I first opened up the box and sorted out all the parts with in I immediately attached my phone to the contraption that held everything in place and took a couple of pictures. Because I only looked through the eye piece with my camera, I didn’t notice was that the other eye piece displayed what I thought was a hair or piece of lint. This was noticed when I actually used the binoculars as they were intended. So I sent a message to the seller and received an immediate response that a replacement was on the way. The replacement arrived quicker than I expected and all looks great.
And now onto the review:
Cons: the item is heavier than I expected and it’s a balancing act to get everything just right but it will work. I noticed that there is a strain one the one side that actually attaches to the tripod and causes a slight downward pull on the captured eye piece. It doesn’t cause any problems with the camera view but may over time weaken the connection to a point it does. But for now it works! So -1 *

This set of binoculars isn’t the super high end, but it has a nice heft to it and decent optics. I work in an optical shop and I knew what quality I was buying when I purchased these. I am very happy with them! The tripod doesn’t have extendible legs, but I knew that. The phone attachment took a second to figure out, but it works great, as you can see in my pictures. I can’t wait to take these out on my next hike! There is no image stabilization other than having a tripod, and there is no night vision setting (and these are not powered in any way).
