loveblue: We bought this item to try to keep the neighborhood cats from fighting on our property during the night, since research shows cats don't like the scent of Citronella.
I pretty much doused our side fence area with this stuff (ended up using almost the entire bottle). With the remaining 1/4 ounce or so, I poured it into our front door mat and wiped it across the bottom of our front door sill, since I read that spiders don't like the scent either.
I haven't seen a cat or a spider since I applied the Citronella about a week ago. I don't particularly like the scent myself, so thinking of putting out cat spikes once the scent wears off.
I wish people would just keep their freakin' cats indoors during the night. If you cat owners ever wonder what your cats are doing when you let them roam the neighborhood during the night, they're keeping your neighbors awake with their noise. Nice going.

とものり: ユーカリオイルはオーストラリアの友人から以前もらったことがあり、咳が止まらない時に効果を実感していました。
これはその時のもらいものに比べたら雑味とかエグミみたいなのが少なく感じました。使いやすい香りです。
お湯に垂らして蒸気を吸う方法も試しましたが、すぐに蒸気に乗って匂いが消えてしまいました。
なのでバームを作ることにしました。ベースはワセリン、硬さ調整にホホバオイル、最後にユーカリオイルを数滴、簡単にお好みのバームの出来上がり。胸や首や顔に塗ったりしています。
鼻をかみすぎて鼻周りが荒れて困る時にも使えます。スースーしますのでユーカリオイルは少なめから試すのが吉です。ユーカリオイルが多いと、荒れた肌には沁みると思います。ハンドクリームにも使っていますし、鼻の中の乾燥には綿棒で塗ります。
