Chris Seddon: These big colouring books are a great way to get a little collaborative playtime with our 2 year old. She loves when we get down on the living room floor with her colouring book and basket of crayons and she chooses a page for us to work on, then picks crayons out for us to use.

The pages and illustrations are big and easy to colour in. Not that she takes a blind bit of notice of the lines. In fact, she likes to wait until I've started colouring a section in, then she'll scribble right over it, cackling with glee. It's genuinely some of the loveliest time spent together.

Just as the book describes, each page has a simple picture which is large, outlined in black and the name of the picture/item underneath. Which helps to add a learning element.

Easy for kids to colour. But equally fun for adults too :)

LauraLaura: This is a very reasonable colouring book for young children. It includes a large number of simple, large drawings depicting common items/words that you might expect your young child to be familiar with. I liked the drawings and I like the added educational component.

The pages are a little flimsy considering that the book is marketed for young young children, and I could see them easily getting ripped. The lines of the drawings aren’t raised at all, unlike some other options that we’ve previously purchased, so it doesn’t provide much in the way of guiding young children to colour in the lines, though I don’t think this is always necessary or even wanted. I would also say that the aesthetic isn’t my favourite - I think there are nicer looking colouring books and pictures out there for children. But considering that your toddler like mine probably doesn’t care about this sort of thing, it’s been a very reasonably priced option to tick a box for our family.
