No scaffolding needed. just have someone hold or heel the bottom while you paint up high or reach. Safety first. I am less than 200 lbs and it worked for us with no issues. Follow instructions on setting it up correctly in the sequence recommended. Perfect and probably the best of the telescoping ladders available here.

Amazon Customer: I've been using this for about 2 months now at my seasonally parked camper. Great to get up on top of the unit and clean gutters, roof and slideouts. Haven't used it around the house yet but it would certainly fit most light to medium home needs. It's not that it feels weak, it's just that by design it flexes a little and takes a little getting used to. I'm 200 pounds and I don't feel unsafe on it. Easy to move around collapsed as it has a velcro strap and a molded plastic hand grip to make carrying easier. It weighs about 25 pounds, so, not so bad to carry. Collapsed it should fit in most RV storage areas. I'd buy it again!

The problem is that we didn't have a way to get to them. We needed something that was easily stored, but expandable to reach the upper windows. This ladder is exactly what we were looking for.

The ladder expands easily... just lift each section and make sure that the locking buttons engage. continue until its extended. (There have been a few times where one clicked in, but the other needed a little help to engage,) To collapse the ladder does take a little care. I find that the pneumatic feature doesn't work all that well and I have learned to hang on to each section and manually control the movement as each section is collapsed.

Victoria Edgerton: This is very convenient for putting in my suv for jobs. It is not meant for outside winter weather (snow spots) and not sure I would want to climb up more than 5 or 6 platforms without someone holding it safely at the bottom.

Glen Hallman: Received the ladder. Very happy with the versatility of it. However when we opened the package there was a large dent on the top rung of the ladder. The original packaging was not damaged in any way and the outer packaging from Amazon was not damaged in any way. Considering the amount of money the ladder cost was disappointed to see damage from the original manufacturer.
