Debski: It works I used for my pool

CCW: This lil heavy water extractor gizmo works fast and well to empty dirty water from my fountain. It's simple enough to use. Attach a hose, plug it in (GFCI of course), it pumps out the water very fast without clogging. It's pretty quiet too.

Hugh Breth: Defective after 3 months - No warranty - Do not buy.
Have to plug/unplug multiple times for it to work.
4 out of 5 times it is running but not pumping.
Used ~20 times for 80-100 litres of clean water!
Problem started after ~8th use.
Will have to buy another one (from a physical store like Canadian Tire to have a warranty) as I cannot rely on this one anymore.
I am surprised as it had good ratings (Probably from the previous generation).

MJVMJV: I used this thing to flush a tankless water heater and it worked flawlessly. It was quiet and provided enough suction to get the job done. You can see the results in the attached picture. I will keep it on hand in case we have any emergencies (let's hope we don't).

richblues: The media could not be loaded. Got it , plugged in, threw into pool , drained about 5000 liters that was sitting in my rain cover in about an hour maybe less. Very powerful! Will drain rest of the pool tomorrow, another hour (20000 liters total) hope it doesn’t die quickly like all the other pump reviews!

JM Fisk: I ordered this because I have a hot tub that needs to be drained and refilled several times a year. The hot tub has an outlet that hooks up to a garden hose, but it takes a LONG time to discharge by gravity alone and leaves about 5-6" of standing water in the bottom of the tub. After several years of dealing with this, I decided it was time to invest in a pump. This seemed like a reasonably affordable alternative. I wasn't disappointed.
It's a no-nonsense, homely little thing that is heavy as a brick and built like a tank. It has a 10' three-prong power cord and an adapter that let's you attach a hose, which you'll need to purchase separately. I ordered a SANFU 5/8", 25' hose with a standard 3/4" GHT brass fitting (https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B098SRWZ3J?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details).
The pump is rated at a maximum of 40 GPM. My hot tub is about 450 gallons. I didn't time it, but I'm guessing that total emptying time was on the order of 10-15 minutes. It doesn't need to be babysat: when the water level falls to about 1/4", it essentially stops pumping. I wouldn't leave this running for hours unattended, but you can go inside and get a cup of coffee...

WatFrog: I am using it to pump water from 4 connected rain barrels to the planters in our green house, 50 ft away from the barrels.
The pressure is great and the pump is very quiet.

Son n.: Heavy weight. Seem good quality. Don’t know why when I opened it and shake it, sounded like the water already inside
