Robert: Told of experience of friend using Wayne pump to remove water from flooded basement last spring while his neighbours hunted in the local stores looking for a pump and pipe in vein. The endorsement of Wayne pump from my neigbhour cause me to buy the pump when I saw it on Amazon. Now I feel more secure my family will have a safe home next spring.

Michael S Holditch: Hi received the pump very quickly (thank you) it is missing the discharge outlet that threads onto a hose (it is that outlet on the left side of the unit in the picture) - rendering it useless. Help

So it is all in how you handle mistakes... Wayne was willing to ship the missing part - no questions asked and Amazon shipped me a no charge same-day replacement (reimbursing the return shipping) - I can’t ask for more than that. Thank you

Juane_ca: Over all the pump works fine, but the only thing that I did not like was the fact that if there is less than 1 inch of water, the pump will not suction the water. I have a hot tub and the only reason that I purchase the pump was to be able to empty in full the hot tub, however as it stands my hot tub has about 1/2 to 3/4 inches of water at the bottom.

Higgy01: When i opened the box it came in the pump almost looked used. Thats the only issue i had. All the pieces were there and the pump works great and its real quiet. Used it 3 times this weekend to pump pool level down cause we got alot of rain the last few days. Used it for emtying sump pump pit to replace a check valve also. Very happy with pump so far.
Edit: August 2023. Pumps still workin great. Use it every year to pump 25 foot above ground pool down half way for winter. Also use as emergency sump if needed and pluged into float switch.

Karen CM: I dislike absolutely nothing about this little pump! It has saved my bacon many times since I purchased it. Namely by keeping my garage and basement from being flooded during rain storms that prob could have floated Noah’s ark. I have a concrete trench drain covered by grates in front of my garage door but often it becomes clogged by leaves, etc. and the water rises very quickly due to a steep grade from the street to my garage door. I pop the grate off, put the little pump in(connected to a 20ft hose) and plug it in. That’s it, problem solved. After about a min this little pump is pushing water up over a stack stone wall and into my side yard where it can do no harm. It is quiet, pumps water at a crazy fast rate so I have to keep an eye on it once the rain lets up to ensure it doesn’t run dry. I believe the auto-shutoff comes on more $$$ models but for the money, this little pump has earned its keep and thensome. Easy to setup, fits almost anywhere, doesn’t bog down and gets the job done fast!

Diamond Di: This is an awesome little pump. I purchased this back in 2011 and have only used it maybe 4 or 5 times but when I use it, I use it for hours draining a 35,000 gallon in-ground pool. I take the water below the 'eyes' and well below the skimmer. I haven't opened my pool since 2009 but my cover has drains on the top of it. After winter snow thaws and rain accumulating over the pool cover, of course, I have to open one end of the cover and drain the pool water down again. It's probably been 2 years or maybe 3 years since I last drained water out of it but the other day, I noticed water coming from the center drains on top of the pool cover. After turning up one corner of the cover, I realized the pool water was about 5" near the very top of the pool. The bad thing about this was in PA it's winter with lots of snow everywhere. I put the pump into the water while the temp was 45 degrees. I couldn't use the two hoses I keep outside because they were frozen. The only hose I had was a brand new one I kept in the garage BUT it was 120' in length. I didn't have much of a choice because I knew within two days the weather would be down around 14 degrees. After not using this pump for several...

Thomas H. Lawler: The main reason I got this pump is because it can take the water down to under 1/2 inch (which I believe is the biggest selling point over most others). I added a float switch to it and put it in a sump to get rid of water that builds under the house whenever we get over 1 inch of rain in a day. We've had such rain and I heard it cycling every couple minutes for 10 seconds or such, so it's doing what I needed. I probably didn't dig as deep as I should have for the sump, but keeping the water level minimal seems easier than replacing it all. It's been in use a couple years now with no problems. Update Jan 2014: We just had another big day of rain and part of my plumbing came undone making the pump just circulate water in the sump. It never quit even from running for perhaps 5 hours that way (but it had warmed up the water quite a bit until I found it and luckily hadn't really begun flooding).

When I first got this, I tried it out filling a 5 gallon bucket and pumping into another. I ran it till I heard it losing prime and instantly pulled the plug. After lifting the pump out (with a bit of water draining out of the pump) I did have 1/4 inch of water left in the bucket, but...
