Erika: Overall, great book. Well organized and love the structure- the billionaires are not studied individually, but by general topic. I was disappointed that there's not one single female billionaire in the whole book. Also- some passages can be seen as sexist, for example when he talks about how important it is to have a supportive WIFE - who will take care of the kids, etc. It would have been cool to have at least one female perspective and one African-American or black perspective. It just seemed like a lot of old white men- which as a younger female was frustrating. I really loved the book as a whole, though !

Clear Path: Reading this book just took me to another level.
Yes, I have read many of the millionaire finance books, but this one was nothing like the others. Although there were similar concepts, of course, but there was something different about this book. I felt like I was in a different company, different category of people and we meshed so well.
My best take-aways:
Get serious and commit to success - a person can't be half pregnant
You can't win if you give up
Millionaire is mediocre - have a billionaire mind instead.
There's a difference between a porsche and a ford - it's in the setup
This is just a great book all-around..not very long and a pleasant read.
I have made it recommended reading for all my mentees (at-risk teens)

Brian DelrosarioBrian Delrosario: Recommend. 328 pages. It’s a quick read and starts well. Like much else in life, you may 80/20 the content. In my opinion, you’ll find the 80/20 in Chapter 6 (The Six Skills of Business Mastery) and Chapter 7 (The Six Habits of Wealth).
I won’t give up too much of the book, but the principles outlined probably sound very similar to other books on entrepreneurship and personal development. On the six skills of business mastery, five are people skills. On the six wealth habits, I’d say one can summarize them as constant improvement of the whole person towards a goal.
I enjoyed how the book opens with stories of rags to riches. The one that sticks out the most is the story of Infosys and its founder, N. R. Narayana Murthy. I’ll quickly summarize it here. In India, 1981, at age 35, Narayana founded Infosys with several partners. Infosys is a computer company. He founded the company with frequent power outages and with no computer.
Back then, he needed a license to obtain a computer, and he spent three years and 50 visits from Bangalore to Delhi to get that license. The distance was 1,500 miles, and he was too poor to afford a plane ticket. So, he...

ruthevea: I am only 40% into the book. Was expecting initially something similar to ' How to Lead' by David Rubenstein. It beautifully reflects and points out the essentials of these great entrepreneurs. We all have 24 hours in a day and how these few selected people have managed to come up through discipline, vision, focus and passion. Makes one reflect on how we have utilised our time and encourages us to improve it. Love this book already and feel will be reading it many times just to feel inspired.

Constantin Ungureanu: This book is a must read for whoever is interested into being financially successful. One question that one should ask himself when reading this kind of books is what achievements has the person giving advice in the particular field he /she is giving the advice. This is why people wanting to increase financially better ask billionaires what it takes to get there. In this book there is a compilation of ideas and sayings from 20+ billionaires, from various fields, various places. It’s interesting to find that many principles are common for al of them. Good work by the author to interview and expose the wisdom of these wealthy people.

Abutharik: Getting the thoughts from billionaires and organise them and write a book on it is a difficult thing and the author has done it for us! He tries to reveal that anything is possible for us and we can build wealth from starting from nothing and without a formal education. All that we need is a strong ambition and a mentality to solve people's problems through a business.
As we move across later pages of the book, the author succeeds in convincing us that becoming a billionaire is possible for us if we follow the right approaches and principles. He doesn't forget to remind us that it's an extremely difficult path to follow if we want become a billionaire and we need to pay a price for the same. The price could be a lack of freedom that is enjoyed by normal people such taking a long vacation with the family.
Most of the business/self-development that I read were based on acquiring the millions, but this book is different. It teaches you the qualities and characteristics of billionaires and their unique path.
I have understood that it's completely a different league and we need to prepare for the same! Read this book and you will gain better clarity on what I'm...

Anonymously: It’s a really neat cool good book if your interested in billionaires, but it doesn’t tell you how to get there explicitly. However my experience and observations have lead me to believe the road to extreme success is a culmination of inputs from various sources, preparation, and lots of hard work.
Some of the people in this book describe having sacrificed a lot for the sake of material success. I know we can’t take it with us. We each have to decide what we want out of life. A lot of money is great, I also value having lots of time to do whatever I want. Anyway. I’m not sure how helpful this is towards describing the book.
It’s basically a bunch of billionaires telling there condensed life story as it pertains to being a billionaire, and they share there lessons learned and tell us what they would want someone to tell them if they were in our shoes.
I recommend MJ DeMarco’s books for a more practical understanding of how to get extreme success, ok maybe not billionaire success, but actually billionaire success is really list about scaling up magnitude and quantity.
Money doesn’t make you happy, it just makes you more of what you already...

Andrew Bott: Since I read Think and Grow Rich I have not been so affected by a book until now. The Billion Dollar Secret includes interviews with 21 self-made billionaires, and includes practical steps, strategies and mindsets for you to take to lead a more successful and happy life. I was struck by the fact that all of these billionaires without fail believed that you had to work in something that you loved, and they all were driven to change the world. The practical advice and specific steps should be taught in every University and I can't wait to implement this advice in a systematic way. This isn't advice only for people who want to be billionaires, it's advice from the most successful business-people in the world for anyone who wants to generate more success in their lives. Highly recommended!
