Plus, the handle is secured with three solid rivets for added support. Get this top-rated fry pan and make your cooking experience a breeze. ILUVROTTIES77: For a family of six and my sister and her two boys are staying with us because they recently just relocated to California so my meals have gotten much bigger and although I actually didn’t think this town was as big as it is I absolutely love it!!
The only downside is if you’re trying to move it from stove to counter it can be a little bit heavy so you may need to have a oven mit or glove at hand.

jimstoic: Anyone who uses nonstick pans knows they don't last forever. I've used a series of such pans from another brand for 20 years, with good results. But this pan was less expensive and highly rated by NYT Wirecutter, so I tried it. Wow! The heat distribution is so good that even when the size of what's being cooked causes it to ride up the side of the pan--for example, multiple burger patties--it cooks evenly. The provided instructions say that because of the excellent heat conduction, you don't need to cook at a temperature above medium. This has proven true. I don't write a lot of product reviews, but this product really wows me. It would be a bargain at twice the price. I've ordered a different pan from the same maker.

JanieD: I usually get t-fal pans but I like this one a lot better, for approximately the same price. It is heavy and the higher edges make it easy to flip food. I couldn't do that in the t-fal pans. Easy to clean as well; food doesn't stick but I don't cook food higher than medium heat, as suggested.

FinchFinch: I’m returning it for a couple reasons:
1. The handle is about 5” longer than normal for a 12” pan. The pan is also larger. It is actually 12.5” but I’m okay with that. The handle will interfere with anything you try to do around it. I’ve walked into it when moving around th kitchen and almost lost my food!
2. I don’t like the silicone handle cover. When it comes time to cleaning the pan it’s annoying. It gets soap stuck inside and stays wet. Without the cover, the handle isn’t very functional.
3. The rivets are pretty pronounced and collect sauce and food when cooking
4. After three or so uses, I can already see some marks in the nonstick finish. I haven’t used anything but silicone or nylon utensils. It still has its nonstick properties but that doesn’t bode well for its longevity.
5. It conducts heat well BUT it doesn’t distribute it. When cooking I can see the exact flame pattern of my gas range coming through the pan into what I was cooking (pan sauce). This is better than some pans that heat unevenly though. So I’m just reporting it. It’s the first pan that did that for me. The outside material is raw aluminum so I think that’s...

WeAreZillaWeAreZilla: As you have no doubt read, this is a BIG pan. Too big to fit in the cupboard with our matching set of fry pans, and too big for the dishwasher. We have a special spot for it and its lid (bought separately) and we wash it by hand.
After receiving this pan we honestly wondered if we'd use it much because of its size. But we find ourselves using it regularly. It's just so convenient to fit so much stuff into a single pan. You can see in the photo how difficult it is to fit this monster on our standard sized stove, especially if we're cooking other stuff. The set we created with these pans include 2-8inch, 2-10inch, 2-12inch, and 1-14inch.
Regarding the lid ... The manufacturer of this pan doesn't offer a lid for it so I searched for one that would fit. There was plenty to be concerned with as I didn't want something that didn't fit right or is too flimsy. I got lucky with my choice. It is very heavy duty and fits perfectly. Included a photo of this pan with the lid on. You can find it here: https://amzn.to/3sqtUUW

N. D. Graham: We have used all kinds of non stick frying pans over the years from cheap to expensive. We have learned that the "non-stick" coating only lasts about a year then doesn't work any longer on most brands. This Tramontina is different. It is heavier and more solid than most aluminum pans and seems to take a little longer to heat up. But when it has heated, it cooks evenly and consistently and is very "slippery" even with minimal if any grease or oil. The pan cooks more like a well seasoned cast iron pan than a budget priced alunimum pan. So far we are very pleased with our two Tramontina pans. How long will the non-stick part last? We'll let you know in a year or so...

Debs: In the past several years, I have tried several different types of non-stick pans. All of them total fails. I was considering ordering a HexClad pan but could just not justify that kind of money for a pan. I then discovered Tramontina and I'm so happy I did. I wish I could give this pan 10 stars. I have had the pans for a couple of months now and have cooked many different things in it. NOTHING has stuck. I have followed the directions for "oiling" it and do it every now and then. They cook perfectly and clean up is a breeze. My hubby who washes the dishes is a total fan.
I started with the 10 inch pan and then bough a 12 inch. The only down side is that they don't sell lids but I have been able to use the ones I had from the garbage pans from the past. (I'm happy to share my recommendations on what NOT to buy).
BTW, I have an electric glass top cook top which is very old (1999). No problems with cooking on it.
