Marie Sheril: This is defined helping me study neuroscience. It’s so colorful and definitely better than staring at a text book!

KJ: The media could not be loaded. I’m a nursing student and I bought this book because I have an interest in neuro and because I love to read and learn new things. This book gives you a simple break down of how the brain works and shares different types of functions, senses, how memory, thinking and learning works and different types of disorders in the brain!

Curious Earthling: Pros:
I find some of the information interesting and there is no need to read the book in order. You can skip to pages that interest you and either skip around or skim or skip the rest.
Cons:
Since each page is an image unless the device used to view it has a large screen and/or the viewer has extraordinary eyesight the viewer will zoom in on the page and move it around to read the text. The text on the image though is well situated to allow zooming without moving it much to read one section as each section with text is narrow enough to read without scrolling across the page.
One thing that I wish was different is that since each page is an image I have not found a way to highlight or take notes on specific topics in the way that I am accustomed to. Since it is an image in the app I am unable to highlight or add a note to the page. Even if each "page" just had something in text like a page number I could select that text and attach a note to that.
If there is a work around on highlighting or adding notes I'd be interested in how to do that.

Eduardo: me gusto, no pienses encontrar cosas avanzadas o complicadas es para principiantes o niños, no te aburrirás por sus colores, algunos temas son demasiado cortos en explicación, pero bien en general.

Gaby: Such a great book. Love the illustrations, and as a psychology student, I think is great to know the basic information of how our brain works

Genuine Reader: Graphics and Facts only.
You will not understand how brain is work by reading this book.
You need to research on each topic given in this book on internet.
Not simplified language used.
I think this is for medical student not for who is curious about basic science.
Thanks

jadams: Lots of interesting information. This is a subject that the general public knows little about. Many billions of neurons(nerve cells) sending messages and instructions from our brains. Sent by electrical and chemical means on to other neurons and on and on. And then neurons in the heart and gut not only react to those messages but are also capable of returning some information back to the brain. It cant be explained how this all developed and probably we will never know. Our brains have developed to the point that we can reason and plan and understand complexity. We do know that not only is life subject to change...but invites change. Change is a requirement in all life. That is all we know now. I would like to know more, but no one knows those answers. All we can do is refine and study the information that is available. Who knows what the human brain will be capable of in 1000 years...or a million years. I suspect that the brain will be very different. I read through this book and as time allows I will try to study it in greater detail. My brain tells me that I should do that. The human brain is the most complex thing on this earth.

Mick 64: The book is exactly what I needed to understand the intricate nature of my brain. I'm a brain haemorrhage survivor who was let down by the NHS so has had to recover under my own guidance .
