Bubba: Can't find decent product in the stores anymore, so took a chance and ordered these. One more notch up and they would put the "P" in pucker, very, very good sour pickles. They are 95% of what remember as a kid, and I am pleased with the purchase, will buy again.

Amanda: These pickle's taste just like home. These pickle's were a childhood staple for any Texas child. You could find them in any theatre, concession stand, or ice cream truck. After living in California for almost two decade's, I had gotten use to not having these around but finally caved in and purchased this gallon on Amazon. This definitely hit's the spot and will become a pantry staple in my house for years to come. Gone are the days where I will be pickle-less in a movie theatre. ;)
For those who are looking for an east-coast sour pickle or jewish deli type pickle - this is not what you are looking for. These are Texas sour pickle's (It's all salt and vinegar). If that is what you are looking for this brand makes a dill version that is alot closer to the flavor of jewish deli pickles. These are delicious - expectations are everything.

Dr. Michael W. Ecker: Taste is subjective. Once you realize that, you can pay less attention to those glowing reviews. Or the not-so-glow. Like this one.
I miss New York, Jewish style, lower East side truly sour pickles. Locally, in Northeast Pennsylvania, for a decade or so I was able to get the little tubs of Williamsburg sour pickles.
Lately my partner and I can't seem to locate them. So, she advised me a few days ago to go to Amazon. There were a few choices, and I selected the gallon of Best Maid pickles, particularly on the strength of the second reviewer who wrote "TASTES GREAT" or words to that effect.
It doesn't. At least not to me.
I give it a grade of D-, a sort of gentlemen's F.
For now, it's in a spare fridge on my porch, only because I a) want to try once more just to make sure, and b) I generally don't like throwing out any item over $20 in cost and a gallon in capacity. Barring some surprise, its likely fate is that it will be on my lawn for local wildlife to sample.
Perhaps some bear will enjoy it more than I did*.
(*For safety reasons, I probably won't really leave it on my lawn. Plus, perhaps there is a local pantry that accepts food...

Linda Beckett: I like sour pickles however I don’t care for the plastic container at all. I don’t like complaining but my husband gets on me for ordering things I have to throw away. The taste of the pickles have a awful taste that isn’t like the old fashioned ones in a glass jar. But the order came quickly. Sorry this one was a flop Amazon 😔

Lainnie: The taste, the crunch, the juice - I ate every last pickle and drank every droplet of juice. These pickles are THAT good.
