Flames: Purchased July 2013. This hammock is simply divine. The colors are so fun and vibrant! These hammocks are hand-made and they are so awesome that we bought another one. You can lay in just about any direction and still have room for your spouse and maybe a small child or two AND your pet! The other day I fell asleep curled up in mine for an hour. It was so comfortable that I just dozed off. I can see how some people would use these to sleep in. If it's a bit cool outside I lay a blanket on the hammock and curl up in it with a pillow from the sofa. I wish I could convey to you how much we love our hammocks. Just buy it and write your own review!

Please make sure to take care of your hammock. We never leave it outside when not in use and make sure not to expose them to the elements (it rains a lot in Seattle). The colors might run. We actually store them inside when not in use. They are not exposed to sunlight or moisture.

We never have trouble getting out of the hammock like some people have stated in other reviews. Those reviews perplex me. Of course you have to hold it open to get in it. It's not the kind of hammock that has the bar...

Holly White: I love this hammock! I place it between two trees near our stream (using hammock straps purchased separately) and enjoy the calm and comfort. I ordered the "jumbo" size. I've used it with both my kids, and I'm sure we could add my husband as well (thought it might not be as comfy). The hammock is much prettier than similar factory-woven styles. The majority of the hammock is made of cotton, and the ends (which lead up to the tree or post) are a stronger, more durable material, but from a few feet away it all looks the same. I sent the sellers an email requesting the natural color, and they responded immediately that I could have any color I wanted. I received it by the promised day; it was 2-day UPS shipping, I believe. It stayed in Mexico for the entire first shipping day, and then traveled from there to NY State in way under 24 hours. Wow! I bring this in when I'm not using it (just unhook it from the s-hooks); in this climate I'm afraid it might weaken or get mildewy in the rain and cold. I hope it lasts for a long time.

k-day: This hammock is beautiful, stronger than it looks, so comfortable, and worth every penny. There's so many threads, and they are soft cotton threads, so its more comfortable/cradling. I bought the jumbo so my boyfriend and I could lay vertical or crosswise together, and we can, so comfortably. The jumbo is supposed to hold alot of weight - and it DOES. We had myself (180lbs), my boyfriend (who is 6'5" and a good 250lbs), my cousin (150lbs), and her 4 year old daughter all in the hammock together! It was so much fun and after the laughing died down my cousin fell asleep. Someone always falls asleep in this hammock, since it is so cradling - we love it! One note of care: never leave such a beautiful piece of handwoven craftsmanship out in the rain or sun for extended periods. This hamock is quality handwoven cotton and so should be taken care of accordingly. Don't be lazy and leave the hammock out or the beautiful colors will fade in the sun. Leaving it out to weather the elements will compromise the thread strength because it is natural cotton and not synthetic rope. Treat it like your favorite cotton sweater. peter dixon: Unfortunately the details of the dimensions of this hammock were not very clear on the description as well as how this could hang on a hammock stand. After a bit of research I felt safe enough to order this for my 15 foot hammock stand.

I receieved the package within the promised 3 days. Once I opened it up to see the beautiful colors and quality of the hammock, I knew I would be pleased. I took it out to put it on my hammock stand and realized that while I layed on it, my back almost hit the ground. I needed a jumbo size so that while my wife and I are laying in it, it gives my three boys the option to join us, without having to worry about it breaking.

I contacted the company, which they were very helpful and expedient to solve my problem. They mentioned how to knot each end which will shorten the hammock to my desired length. They even emailed me pictures of what it should look like. I went outside and followed their directions and it worked perfectly. Now my wife and kids can enjoy how comfortable this is.
