Before buying these Tazo organic chai tea bags in the 6-box cartons from Amazon for the past couple of years, I had always purchased them a box or two at a time from local markets. As with most products -- if you buy them often enough -- there was the occasional tea bag with a wimpier flavor than usual, but it was very rare, and I've been buying them for over 10 years now. I now buy them exclusively through Amazon, and they've always been fresh and flavorful. So I was surprised at reading so many recent reviews reporting buyers receiving only a single box in the shipment, or cartons with a mass of loose tea bags, or with already- or about-to-expire best-by dates, and I was wary of placing a reorder. But I went ahead and did so, and just received my most recent 6-box order. As with my previous orders from this supplier, when I opened the carton, there were the usual six boxes, and the smell was lovely -- fragrant and fresh. And the best-by date on each box is March of 2023. So, as usual, I'm very happy with the quality and the super-fast, earlier-than-expected delivery. So delicious. I didn’t know I was ordering a case, though. But I’m glad I did. I have a box at my daughters, my mother in laws, and my house so I will never be without. Green value for the money and it is a tasty tea. I will be reordering. I use two tea bags for my oversized mug in the morning. It is the perfect amount.

TBH I expected something like the chai they serve at Starbucks (which, I'm sorry, is not tea).
I'm a tea fiend and have way too many kinds of tea in my cupboard. Also, Indian/Pakistani masala chai is my favorite. I drink this Tazo pretty frequently compared to all of my teas because the flavor is really good. I was surprised!
"Authentic" is a complicated topic, because there are thousands of microcultures and millions of recipes for chai. And what I grew up with can seem weird to my friends and vice versa. This tea has the right kind of ingredients from the part of the world that calls tea "chai" and for a mainstream brand sold in tea bags it's very pleasing to my palate, so I'll buy more.
