JBrown248: I absolutely LOVE this product. I have not tried the mesh feeder yet, so I will write another review later.

the food grinder is AMAZING! my son is 8 months old and we are slowly starting to introduce him to table food.

Background: I have made my own baby food for both of my children. I buy fresh fruits and veggies (mostly organic), use the baby bullet steamer and baby bullet to puree the foods. I exclusively only used the two baby bullet products to steam and puree/mash all of the baby food. I did this from the time he was 4 months till 8 months. At 8 months, the amount of food he ate was exceeding 2-3 times the amount of food I could make with the 2 bullet products, so I started to look for other products that I could make larger quantities of food at once. that is where I found this munchkin grinder.

GRINDER: I love this grinder. although, you can only make about 1/2 - 1 serving for a 8 month old, this product is amazing!
its easy to use and VERY EASY to clean. (I hate doing dishes, so the easier the better). there are about 3 pieces (blade and handle, bowl part of grinder, and bottom part of grinder). you just stick the food at the...

Xiaochao Zheng: I had a Munchkin grinder for my two boys. When my daughter reached her first half-birthday, I realized I lost the metal grater so had to search for another food mill. I went to stores but could not find the Munchkin brand, and the grinders in stores are all expensive and do not seem easy to use. (In fact I bought and then returned one that was not Munchkin). Fortunately I can still buy the Munchkin grinder on amazon, and for a very attractive price!

Back to the product itself, it takes some getting used to: It contains three parts: A plastic hollow cylinder, another plastic cylinder that can be inserted into the first one to make a chute to hold the food, and a metal grater that can be inserted into the top edge of the food chute. The metal grater contains a disk with many small holes, and a metal stick underneath that can be rotated by turning a handle (as obvious in the picture). When food is pushed upon the metal disk and through the holes, the metal stick can be rotated to cut the food into short stripes. What's not obvious is that there is a plastic knob on the top of the metal grater which you can use to loosen or tighten the metal stick (along...

Ana Margarita: Both pieces are actually equally bad.. the mill does not work at all. nothing comes through the mesh, no matter how much you push the food on the other side, nothing passes through. Not even soft boiled potatoes, nothing really. And then the other piece which is suppose to work as to put food in and give it to your baby, it does not work well either, the worse part is that the gauss is glued to the plastic so it is impossible to detach it and wash it or use it many times, or put food in. Bad bad purchase

Tinkerbell: Do not buy, its a waste of money!!!
I bought this because we had one similar for my sister when she was a baby and it was great. This one, is not.
I have tried it with cooked vegetables and the mill tightens so much it will not rotate, so you end up trying to push it down hard to get the food to come through. As a result all the juice from the food leaks out of the bottom which a) is messy and b)contains the vitamins I am trying to get into my baby!!
I ended up using a fork to mash the vegetables and chicken that I wanted to feed to my baby and will be contacting the manufacturer to give them my opinion!!
Only plus- it is easy to wash!!

TwoDogs: Poor quality, poor design, difficult and slow to assemble, difficult to use and only grinds soft foods, difficult to clean, & messy.

Poor Quality: The parts seem cheap; the plastic is not firm for a product that is supposed to grind food. The metal parts started to wear down after one limited use and seemed wobbly. Even when brand new, the parts did not have a tight fit and so the grinder never felt sturdy.

Poor Design: It is weird to put the food in the bottom tube and squish it up through some small holes so that food ends up in the top reservoir. It is awkward and unbalanced especially when actually grinding the food. There is a gap where an O-ring goes in the plunger part that seems like a good place for food to get stuck and bacteria to grow. The grinding action is based on a propeller helping to squish food through some small holes. There must be at least seven thousand better methods to grind baby food. Food cannot be stored in it, not easy to serve from, not easy to use it or take it apart, not easy to clean = bad design.

Awful Assembly: This thing is a nightmare to assemble! With a hungry baby yelling, getting all the parts in...
