Love Farberware cookware, but this is the second time(out of 2) the pans have been bent! Both times shipping was probably to blame. The pans were just thrown in a bag with no padding. First time had to return, just too bad. This time I ordered 2 and only 1 was slightly damaged. Can't fit a lid on it but just too much trouble to ship back, so gonna keep it. Kinda glad I didn't have a lid sent, they are made of glass! Love the product just wish they could ship better. Wouldn't mind an extra day or so to get it shipped safely.

Patrick BrennanPatrick Brennan: This is called a "deep skillet," but it is actually the best available replacement for the 8 inch skillet that comes with the Farberware Classic Stainless Steel set (which may really be aluminum- go figure). This skillet is about 1/2 an inch deeper than the original. This may be a big improvement- I don't know because I only use the skillet to fry eggs and maybe a grilled cheese every now and then. What I wanted to know is whether this skillet had all of the qualities of the one that it was replacing: it does. It works great on a glass top stove and pretty much mirrors the shape of the original 8 inch skillet with slightly higher sides. I used the original one every day for about three years, or a little over 1000 uses, and the handle stayed tight and the skillet seemed to distribute heat evenly every time I used it. The non-stick surface looked a bit rough by the end of year three, which is why I wanted to replace it. I think a three year run is OK for a non-stick pan that gets used every day, but I'm no skillet expert.

Levelle M Laney: This is an excellent skillet and I have purchased several over the years. They very in quality, but overall, they are among the most used skillets in my kitchen. I have had the experience of the handle falling apart on several including the 12-inch. The surface does not keep it's shape and I have to take a rubber mallet and tap the surface flat. The nonstick coating on two different skillets pealed off, although on some of my same skillets, I did not have this problem. This is a quality control issue. The size of the skillet is not 10-inches, it's much less. The glass Farberware lid fits perfectly. I am recommending this skillet, but this is a coin toss. Some of the skillets have lasted for a few years while others did not last a few months. There should be a size between the 10-inch and the 12-inch. The 10-inch should actually be an 8-inch because it is closer to it. For the price, it is a good deal, nevertheless.

J. Moore: This is my second Farberware Classic Nonstick 10-inch Skillet. I have had my original skillet for about 15 years and have had very good luck with it. We bought this second 10 inch skillet just to have another one on hand. Farberware does have different grades of cookware. This is a good grade. My mother has had the regular classic set for 40 years. I have had my regular classic set for 20 years. I then added some of the non stick skillets and griddle about 15 years ago. We have not had any trouble with flaking, but my 15 yr old skillets are starting to show wear. I cook regularly for a family of 4 and my stainless classic cookware still looks new after all these years. I put all my Farberware in the dishwasher (even my non stick stuff, shhh don't tell) and everything comes out pretty and clean. The handles are not cheap they are solid and screwed on (not riveted) so if you ever have a loose handle (which happens once in a blue moon) you can just tighten it up with a screw driver and you are good as new. Do not be fooled by some of the Farberware that is found in the 'big box' store, that is a lower quality. Be sure that you are purchasing the Classic series. My aunt uses...
