aeroshaker: Works without feedback when I practice at home with it powering about 6 pedals at the same time. I even tried three different types of guitars thru them with no issue, but once I got to the church for rehearsal (I would never wait until Sunday to try), on two separate occasions there was a horrible buzzing when hooked up thru the pedals.
I even tried having all the pedals off (true bypass pedals) and had issues. I was using a passive bass, so I'm not sure if having an active guitar would improve or hinder anything.
It could be the old wiring from the platform that's been there apparently since the late 90s. I do plan on trying the pedals again once remodeling is done next year, but from what I understand this power source should have taken care of any fuzzy electrical sounds. I had tried a time before to use the pedals with a daisy chain and had the same issue, so it seems this box only helped me by adding the ability to have more pedals on my board pull thru the same power source.
After reading other reviews I knew that it was possible to get a defective item or one that wouldn't work as well as others. Overall it is great for me to use at home. I just wonder if I could...

James S: Unfortunately, one of my pedals yields a high pitched whine from the power supply on the 9V 500ma ports, which are NOT isolated from the 100ma ports. The pedal manufacturer did the right thing by providing a particular 9v power supply which should be used with the pedal, hence the reason it was provided as the manufacturer understands other power supplies may not work. This is the fault of Donner for providing 9V 500ma ports but not isolating them from the others. Perhaps, the versions 3 or 4 have a fix for this, but Donner made a bad move on this version and I made a bad move of buying it. Now, I have to also mount the 9V power supply in my pedal board along with an additional AC power plug to accommodate it. Be fore warned, if you have 9V pedals that draw more than 100ma, be prepared to install additional equipment.

Brian Cherry: So to clarify, this pedal follows one definition of Isolated... but each output is not isolated from one another - so there is some noise travelling between pedals. Because of the price I took a chance. Its an okay little unit. It does power all of my pedals, although I would have liked more reverse polarity adaptors since I have a couple of old peavy pedals. The leads to the pedals are a bit short, but work well. The switch on the unit controls the lights only - I would have liked a button controlling the power.

Donner customer support has been great. They are helping to ensure I get the power supply I need. Thanks!

AaronAaron: The thing works well! It's important for me to have a isolated power supply. I run my bass out of two amps, one clean and one distorted and there is a lot of opportunity for ground issues and hum when splitting your signal like that. No issues with this power supply though, it's nice and quiet. None of the issues anyone has mentioned are seen in my unit at all, and it's a fraction of the cost of a voodoo labs equivalent. It mounts nicely under my pedal board and the blue lights which can turn on and off look kind of cool adding a glow underneath.
Only reason I can't give it 5 stars is the unit feels like it's not the most durable thing so I'll have to wait and see how it performs after some time.

JC: If you're anything like me, you're carefully going through reviews of other users of this power supply before making up your mind, and you have surely noticed the majority of reviews say something along the lines of "this is a great power supply, NOT isolated as the advertising suggests, but it's awesome and silent" or maybe something like "it's a little bit noisy, but it gets the job done". But then you also have a few bad reviews stating it's a terrible supply and it's really noisy. You're probably wondering if you should listen to what most reviews say and just go with it or if you should pay attention to those bad reviews and save up for a better, more expensive power supply. And if this is the case, I want to tell you that, in my experience, this power supply is really a hit-or-miss, those good reviews are right, but those bad reviews are also right!

I always do my homework obsessively before buying my musical equipment. This is my first power supply and I wanted to be sure I was making a good purchase. So I read a lot of reviews here and there, and watched a couple of YouTube videos until I finally decided to order this power supply. I received my unit, but upon my...

Alex Howard: You get what you pay for; it works as it should but with some flaws. I had been using a Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2 that I borrowed from a friend before buying this, had no noise issues with any pedals I was running. However, I have a tube delay that needs more than 100ma, when running through one of the 500ma outputs on the DP-2, a high pitch squeal is audible and, so far, I have been unable to get rid of it. It gets buried when there is other sound but between songs, setting up, etc it is very annoying. The plug for the adapter (wall wart) is very larger and quite light, the unit itself is also light, not very sturdy seeming. On the plus side, the 18V out is obviously a nice feature, I use it for a danelectro chorus with no problems. Would recommend if using basic 100ma 9V pedals primarily, be careful when the pedals need more power.

Allan: I largely agree with the 5/10/16 review by tdundas, but I would be one star more generous. The power brick itself works extremely well: it's quiet and compact, comes with a full set of connectors (including polarity reversing), and its ability to power a 12V and an 18V pedal in addition to eight 9V pedals makes it very useful and versatile. I am using it with a small Gator GPB-LAK pedalboard, which has an underside bracket that holds it securely. I don't know what more you could reasonably want from a pedalboard power supply, with one exception: the AC adaptor.

One of the reasons I was attracted to this unit is its ability to power an 18V pedal. I have a Pigtronix boost pedal, which can be run at either 9V or 18V. When I connected it to the Donner's 18V output, I got a loud howling sound from the amp. I got no noise when I connected it, or any of my 9V pedals, to a 9V output. I was able to confirm that the problem was with the Donner's AC adapter, since I got no noise when I used the Pigtonix 18V adapter to power the boost pedal and the Donner to power the rest of my pedals.

The seller, DonnerDirect, was very responsive and promptly sent me a replacement....
