Savvy Buyer: This is my second time ordering this item. It's better than any I tried. Use it every day to attach a long leash to my cat so he can enjoy being outside on my patio without jumping the fence to visit the neighbors. He doesn't mind it at all. It's simple to put on and very effective. Adjustable around the neck and torso. Strong fabric sturdy clips. Actually I'm still using the first one I bought of these. It's still in perfect condition after 2 years of use. I bought the second one for backup for the future. Excellent product.

jonnijones: My Maine Coon is 18 years old and skinny. He's a rescue and when I got him he was the dirtiest, scroungiest, crud encrusted cat I have ever, ever seen. Obviously he needed a bath but I didn't have help so I needed some way to keep him in the tub without him running away or having a heart attack. This worked nicely because I put it on him then attached a really light leash to the leash ring and the other end of the leash to the faucet so he couldn't jump out of the tub. Now I was able to wash him with both hands and soothe him at the same time. It was light enough and thin enough that I was able to get him nice and clean even though he was wearing it.

My boy is 10 pounds and long but this fits nicely after doing some adjusting. Frankly, if he weighed 15 or 16 pounds it would have adjusted just as well if not better. This harness is nice and I highly recommend it.

The Dude: It works rather well. Our cat has had a fascination with the outside world and needed something new to explore so this was the harness I purchased. The straps and clasps are plenty strong and when they are adjusted snugly I don't see any way the cat could get out. The key is getting it adjusted so the chest strap is around the narrowest part of the chest and snugging up from there. For our cat it was right behind the shoulders. The only gripe I have is that the stitched strap the joins the neck and chest straps is just a bit too short. I wish it was adjustable so that the fit could be very fine tuned but for what it is it works well. Our cat wigged out a couple times when something startled her and she went into tazmanian devil mode trying to get away but the strap held her without the slightest hint of being able to escape.

Brock, Natali, Justin & Aiden: So I was looking for a bunny harness and noticed that most of the bunny harnesses that I could find were not highly rated and didn't even fit my large bunny. The few I could find like - the shoulder harness - amoung others - had to be custom made and shipped from Europe. I know walking a bunny is more IN in Europe now, but really- ?. So I looked into getting some other kind of harness and found that cat harnesses without the chest strap is also effective. This particular harness won't fit a small breed, but for our standard Rex it fits nicely and he doesn't mind it at all. A few times he has panicked for one reason or another, and there has not been any near escapes. He's a big boy and easily wormed his way out of the other harness I tried by trixie- which is flimsy at best. This harness is sturdy and durable. Does the job right and at reasonable cost. Love it. Reliable, and easy to use.

GreatasaurusRex: This was the only one that listed dimensions small enough for my 6-mo old manx kitten. He's comfortable in it, it's small enough he can't wriggle out of it if he gets spooked, and we've been going for some great walks! I use it with a retractable leash, and that's the way... if the line is slack, he'll chew on it and play with it rather than get up and explore.

7/3/15 Update: Still have the harness, and use it daily. Kitty is now 9.5 lbs and the harness expanded right along with him! Still perfect. Have washed skunk spray out of it twice (don't *even* ask!), washed dirt and mud off it many times, Kitty sometimes chews on it when he's not IN it, and it is still in great condition. He's never wriggled out of it. It never strangles him. This is the first harness that I tried for my cat, and I have never felt the need to experiment with another style or maker, because this works and keeps working. When, someday, it is time to replace this... I will buy the identical item from this seller. (Coastal Pet Products) They have the right design and the right quality for the right price.
