Oge: Excellent and worth it. The exercises and notes are well prepared. I like the guidance for fingers as well. Though I have been playing the keyboard for a while, I never got finger placement right until I started using this book. This book is currently helping me a lot! I have just placed an order for the next level.

Coccinelle: J'utilise cette méthode en parallèle de mes cours en école de musique. Elle m'est très utile car elle me permets de travailler progressivement : exercices des doigts, apprentissage des accords, enchaînement des accords. Tout cela avec des morceaux simples et progressifs en parallèle des exercices.

Shreyak ChakrabortyShreyak Chakraborty: I am a self learner of piano from past 1 year and I used this book initially as a PDF but decided to get the hard copy as I found it good for developing proper two hand playing fundamentals and gradually move to more complex classical pieces (and not just play easy pop songs) for which I feel being able to read sheet music is essential and this book does a good job at explaining those concepts.

sbaker34: I love this book as a piano learning resource but had to drop a star because of a frustrating delivery and replacement experience.

I spent extra to have the spiral bound version pictured above in order to not have to fuss with keeping the pages open or folding the book in on itself. What arrived was the plastic combed version. I don’t know about you guys but sometimes going through the return process is a hassle and I didn’t want to deal with it that day. So I reached out to Amazon to request a refund for the difference in price between the two copies. I was told they could not do that and I would have to return the first copy and get another copy sent out. I was annoyed but since they told me that was my only option I agreed. Well when the next one was delivered it was still the plastic combed version. Initially I was told I would have to do this process again to have them send me ANOTHER copy. After talking to several different people I was able to finally get the difference between the two copies refunded thankfully. So my issue was resolved but it was a pain and ultimately I ended up with a copy I didn’t want.

Vanessa Vanessa: Comecei a estudar música (teoria) e piano há poucos meses. Já havia pensando em iniciar os estudos antes e esse livro me chamou a atenção pelas inúmeras avaliações positivas. Nunca (nun-ca) havia tido contato com um piano antes em toda a minha vida e meu único contato com a música havia sido participar de grupo de canto coral sem entender lhufas de nada. Devo dizer que quando comprei o livro já havia iniciado aulas de teoria, o que certamente tem me ajudado, mas em contrapartida a didática deste livro, que para mim é excelente, tem me ajudado a compreender melhor as aulas teóricas, talvez até pelo fato de que as expressões em inglês fazem muito mais sentido do que as em português (bequadro x natural, ligadura x tied notes, etc.). Mas o mais bacana para mim desse livro são os arranjos, que permitem que a gente toque músicas bem bonitinhas com apenas 5 notas e sem usar as teclas pretas, deixando o aprendizado menos maçante. A progressão entre as lições é muito bem estruturada. Há muitas aulas gratuitas no Youtube baseadas neste livro (assisti algumas e depois encontrei uma professora brasileira que segue o método). ruben miranda: It's a great system to learn piano. I am very satisfied with its simplicity, it's conciseness and scope. It leaves no holes in learning and while you won't be a piano master at the end of it, you will move from stage to stage in a manner that's smooth.

Only advice is that you should ALSO buy other books to practice with. This book is heavy on chords, so buy a book of beginner classical piano, jazz, blues, and so on as you wish to expand your knowledge. This book is the base. The other books are the supplements.
