Todd Donovan: Easy to install with the 1/4 and 3/8 refrigerant lines that came with a Pioneer 12k mini split. Even though the sections are short it comes out looking clean and disappears when painted.

Scott HarboltScott Harbolt: The product itself is great. Good design, all the pieces you need for a 16’ run. What is not acceptable are the instructions and pictures within the instruction. If you attach to brick or masonry, additional anchors and screws are needed. The housing that allows the hoses to penetrate through and cap are well designed and work perfectly, as long as you confirm you have the proper fasteners for your application. The large plastic sides with notches in them go against the wall surface and the smaller sides clip or snap directly into the other section so the smooth portion is out facing. There are enough included 45’s and stretchable 90’s and flex tube to do the trick. Make sure before you install the last wall piece where cables come out of the wall that you use putty, great stuff or insulation to press into and around hoses. I used caulk to assist mounting this first portion, my picture, very top piece, curved. This was easier after drilling holes into the brick and caulking the open air mortar lines so no air or water can penetrate after entire line set is in place within cover. Caulking allowed the below runs to go in using only gutter screws so I did not have to drill...

PJ: Received item on time. It is self explanatory to install because of the way the pieces are designed. The product would be better if it would come with optional short and log mounting screws for the back pieces instead of one size. Also, the heads of the screws provided are made of a soft metal therefore you need to be careful not to strip them if you use a drill.

I am interested in how it will stand up to the extreme cold weather coming soon.

gone fishing 5478gone fishing 5478: I purchased this to cover the line set on a self installed heat pump. There are no instructions so I suggest looking for a video. I was able to get the line set into the cover fairly easily. The only tricky part is that with a DIY Mr. Cool you do have the bulky section at the connect portion. it DOES fit so if you have a Mr. Cool know that this cover will work but you may need to compress the insulation a bit using the provided white "tape" at that connection point. You will also need to cut the tabs out of the flexible elbow so the tubing can rest easily, since you can't bend that into a perfect 90 degree angle. I did this with a chop saw easily. Also the long portions cut easily the same way.

I like many others could have used at least one more long section. I can't seem to find where I can buy just one more section. So I used the flexible piece to cover as much line set as I could. I ran that over a table saw blade to put a slit in the side of it and placed it over the line set. I did not screw this portion to the house and it rests between the two connectors that are attached. it worked just fine. I would have preferred not to have to use it at all, but it did work out...

myopdotca: I ordered this kit prior to setup, wasn't sure what I needed. I only used 20" of the enclosure pieces, and the cap for the end didn't quite fir my unit, however, a little "Great Stuff" and a little caulking did the trick. There should be enough elbows and fittings for most installations. Really does clean up the look of the installation and makes it look professional.

AVZ: The only reason this did not get a five, is that is advertised for new or existing installations. This product is only for new installations. The cap (wall cover) according to the instructions is to be installed first and then the piping. For existing piping, you need a wall cover back that is open at the top allowing it to slide under the existing piping. Some of the products on Amazon are designed this way. The cap of this product is not open this way. I ended up cutting the the back of the wall cover so I could slip it under the existing piping. This reduced its strength and made installation of this one piece difficult while on the top of a ladder 20 feet above the ground. It seemed as if the manufacturer had just cut and paste the advertising from another product that was made for existing piping without removing those comments and just keeping the comments for new piping.
