It looks pretty from across the room. The frame is actual wood and has an even, glossy finish, while the shelves have a "brown" veneer that makes it less attractive (see photo). But once you get stuff on them, that veneer is barely visible. It IS pretty sturdy - I do not expect "puppy parkour" to knock it over even if I don't attach it to the wall. It has good height (I'm 5'5-1/2" and it's taller than me), which is what I was looking for.

Cons:

This thing was a beast to put together. Be sure to grab a real screwdriver and (if you have one) a nut driver with a hex bit (they send an allen wrench) as the pre-drilled holes need a little muscle to get the hex-head screws in. Pro tip - install the wood pegs and cam studs FIRST, then drop the shelves into place and attach all the screws - yes, the second rail goes on AFTER putting the shelves on. Second pro tip: when putting the shelves on, put the top one on first and work your way down. The picture-directions show you putting screws in after you put the shelves on, but if you put the lower shelves on first, you have very little room to work when doing the next layer up, even if you put it together with it...

Es sieht schön aus und schlicht vom Design. Vom Preis her finde ich es allerdings etwas zu teuer für die Qualität. Qualität überzeigte mich nicht ganz.

LauraJLauraJ: Overall I'm very happy with this bookshelf, it wasn't expensive, wasn't bad to put together, and seems sturdy. The instructions are only diagrams but if you take some time to look through them first and match up the various screws and parts it's not bad.

I've ordered another and will definitely use a drill next time since it took more elbow grease than I expected especially for all the small fiddly screws for the brackets. The whole thing fit together well though, which was nice since I've had some cheap furniture that didn't line up at all.

I haven't put anything in it yet but it seems very sturdy and the instructions say that each shelf holds 25 lbs. There are extra blocks you can screw on to make it more stable if you don't attach it to the wall, but I may remove them so it's flat against the wall instead.

violet j.violet j.: Like most people stated, the instructions do suck… there are only photos and no words. it’s not super hard to figure out but some things are kinda confusing… don’t try to over complicate it because you probably are doing it right, the instructions are just awful. took about an hour or two to put it together by myself, it wasn’t super hard just a little confusing! id suggest sorting and labeling the screws and stuff before hand tho because it made it a thousand times easier. without labeling it was confusing because in the actual instructions you can’t tell what’s what. kinda hard to explain but you’ll understand when you get it lol. otherwise i think this bookshelf is super cute. definitely an upgrade from what i had before and completely puts my room together. seems pretty sturdy and i love the color on it sm!! also a great price, typically i see bookshelves look like this go for a lot more.

Geniene EGeniene E: My teenagers were wanting a ladder shelf for their bedroom, I found this one on offer and thought it was good value, I wouldn’t pay the full price for it as I think that’s too expensive but it’s worth the £40 I paid. Sturdy when built and fits a lot on it aswel as looking nice and not taking up too much space within the room! Bit disappointed I couldn’t fit the folders on any of the lower shelves as the gap is slightly too small between the shelves. But overall we are happy for price paid and I decorated it with some lights and Ivy which goes with the theme of their room

Maeve MadrigalMaeve Madrigal: He comprado la estantería con casi el 50% de descuento. Por ese precio y ahora que está montada, me vale para lo que la quiero y me gusta mucho como ha quedado, pero tiene muuuchooos peros y se ha dañado en el montaje, en parte porque no es completamente de madera, en contra de lo anunciado, y en parte porque las instrucciones son de risa y la fabricación deja que desear. A favor, como verás, queda muy bonita una vez que has dejado de lloriquear de frustración al montarla y te has tomado un par de chupitos de tequila para olvidar, y con oferta tiene muy buen precio.

PROS:
- Queda perfectamente estable, una vez que añades las piezas cuadradas de madera que se atornillan en las patas en la parte trasera. Eso no se va a mover.
- Si la quieres para plantas poco pesadas o para objetos ligeros de decoración, es una manera estupenda de decorar ocupando poco espacio. Pero no creo que pueda con libros u otros objetos pesados.
- La estética es muy bonita y parece de mayor precio y calidad de la que tiene, eso sí, mientras no te acerques mucho.

CONTRAS:
- Perforaciones torcidas y que no se alinean entre unas piezas y otras, con lo que al apretar los...

Mary: Sono davvero molto contenta, ho cercato una libreria a scala per molto tempo, ma non volevo spendere troppi soldi! Dopo qualche incertezza ho deciso di prendere questo articolo(nel colore bianco), spendendo meno della metà di quelle che avevo trovato!
Finito il montaggio, non velocissimo, sono rimasta molto soddisfatta! La qualità è buona e la struttura è resistente!

Please note that this product is shipped via Ground and by "on time" I mean the normal amount of time it takes for Ground shipping (In my case it usually takes 6-7 days).

✓ Quality: Great. Extremely sturdy!
✓ All required Hardware are included. In addition to the included hardware, the assembly process requires a Philip screwdriver. I also used a 3.6V power screwdriver (from Ikea).
✓ Assembly and installation: Hard.
- The instruction manual contains only picture illustrations. It does not provide any worded explanation. But the illustrations are quite understandable.
- The pre drilled holes are a little too small for the included hardware. This requires us to put in a lot of power and effort to install this bookshelf. I used a 3.6 V power screwdriver in certain steps during the installation and it saved me a lot of energy.
- Even though at the end of the installation we get a sturdy and strong bookshelf, I strongly feel that the entire process could have been made a lot more easier if only the predrilled holes were a...
