Glenda Riley: Yup, my second one boke in less than a week. This is the one that arrived with the magnet loose in the box because its hook had already broken off. Now one end snapped off. I'm an 85 year old woman living alone in sedate retirment community. I don'tr have a high destruction rate. I guess I need to switch companies.

nonoyabidneznonoyabidnez: Our window A/C was blowing cold air directly onto our bed. This deflector, with the addition of two magnets, mount onto the unit and directs the flow to the ceiling. Thus far it has worked well. Because our unit is almost as wide as the fully expanded deflector, we have taped the central joint for additional stability.

EvelynEvelyn: 1. The magnets on this thing suck. 2. It’s thin and like most reviews say, it breaks easily if dropped.
I primarily got it to redirect the air flow from my son’s bed but I didn’t bother spending extra on stronger magnets or any of that. I simply attached it with rubber bands. Took less than 5 minutes to install. It doesn’t look pretty but it serves its purpose. We also noticed it keeps the room much cooler. Manufacturers can easily tweak it so that it works for any and all ACs but it’s cheap and now you know, you can do it yourself! Highly Recommend as a simple and fast solution.

Janusz Canuck: This is definitely a solidly built air deflector, much more so than the average one you see in the big box stores, but I think that when they say it's unbreakable, they mean as long as nothing gets dropped on it.

First day I put it on a floor register, one of my kids dropped one of their game boxes on it by accident, and the unbreakable deflector broke. Now I get that you shouldn't drop things on it, but it wasn't exactly a heavy box.

Maybe rather than unbreakable, they should say something like tough, or break resistant.

Overall pretty good and I'll buy another in the future.

ReviewerReviewer: What a deal! For such a low price these can't be beat. I needed a vent cover to deflect the AC off my feet at my new desk. Even closing the vent there was still enough cold air to make my feet freeze. Then I found this great product! It's very thin plastic and expandable to fit a variety of vent sizes so I wasn't sure if it would really help. But it's great! It essentially deflects the air away from my cold feet but still provides air conditioning for the room. A true win win! I was so excited with the results that I purchased a second one for a vent under a cabinet. It keeps the air flowing into the room and away from the cabinet. Great product at an affordable price. The magnets aren't very strong so I don't recommend these for walls or ceilings unless you plan to secure them better, but for floor vents these are great! Go ahead and buy it.

NewFezziwig: After reading the slew of bad reviews this product has received I was apprehensive to buy one. Since the price was not too bad I decided to give one a shot.
Upon receiving the deflector I attempted to test the magnetic strength as that was one of the largely disputed items. I was able easily and securely adhere the vent deflector to my refrigerator. The magnets held the deflector firmly in place sideways without sign of sliding.
The vent deflector ultimately went on a ceiling vent. My vents are all painted so I was a little concerned but it did not appear to be an issue as the deflector has been firmly attached to the vent for a few weeks now. There are also screw holes pre drilled in the plastic to allow the deflector to be screwed to the vent for extra security. I did not feel the need to do so.
It has been a fairly cold winter thus far and my deflector shows no signs of warping. I have checked it a few times to be sure but there are not any signs of the plastic deforming due to the heat coming from the vent. So far it is doing its job and deflecting the air where I want it.
